What's the average yield per watt?

So far the only side by side test I've seen was done by Migro. They claim the average yield of an HPS is 0.5 grams per watt and 1.0 grams per watt for a quantum board (Samsung LM301B). Do you agree with these numbers and where would you position a standard LED light?

Those numbers don't seem accurate to me. Seasoned growers can pull over 2LB's per 1K HPS which is over 1GPW.

Define "standard led"

Check those numbers, 2 pounds are less than 1g/w with 1 Kw.

My average is about 2-2.5lbs per light. That's 1kw DE's driven to 1150w in a 5x5 scrog. That's .78 to .98 gpw depending on strain. No co2 and no hvac id imagine sealed with co2 would do better

The poll assumes that LED does better than HID.

That's wrong right off the bat.

HID is the gold standard used industry wide. Nothing beats the penetration of HID lighting. LED isn't bad at all and it beats HID in the heat department most of the time but for actual growing of plant material, nothing beats HID.

With HID, the desired weight is 1g/watt. This is a let your plant grow naturally number. If you use additional growing techniques like scrog, topping LST or supercropping you can pull alot more out of a plant. As far as I can tell, to make LED viable you have to use additional growing techniques.

Caveat: I'm an HID grower because of various reasons and even on my learning grows, I pulled .75g/watt without using growing techniques to their fullest effect.

Would it not depend on the genetics?

I use Plancks Quantum Organic lighting at 200 grams per watt I only had to sacrifice 3 kittens and a gerbil.

Good LED 1.3

Not to say a lot of people cant pull way more with any of those lights but on average there are more growers not filling their space or not experienced enough to get the most out of their lights than there are ones that are shit hot at maxing out their lights/space.

I agree with this big lad.

I’m expecting close to 500g from my latest harvest. Should hopefully weigh it in tonight if I have enough time lol.

I use a 400w HID setup.
