Hello,

I am designing the light set up for an 8’ x 7’ room w/ 8’ ceilings for a flower room which will be on a weekly crop rotation (9-10 week cycle for each plant). I will have a 24000 BTU AC and access to as much power as necessary because the room is directly next to the breaker box. Room can be wired to specification.

Room will enclosed w/ CO2. Id prefer to keep ballasts out of the room. Idea is to maximize the space with as much light as possible for yield. Will be growing in organic soil roughly one plant per sqft. Budget is not a concern if it improves yield. I was think of some combination of DE HPS 1000 or 600 Watt, and/or 315 w CMHs. Would appreciate guidance on bulb, reflector, and ballast along with light placement and distance to canopy. Light bulb, reflector, and ballast manufacturer along with maybe a site to purchase would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.!!

If you put an optimum amount of light in that space (6ish × 315cmh or 4x1000w hps) then 24k btu of a/c is going to be just enough a/c. Just. Unless the lights are air cooled, which is hard to do properly in a sealed room. Little leaks in hoods/ducting will suck out your co2.

Jus sayin...

I know people are loving their 315s... maybe they run cooler? I dunno...
