What's going on here?

Hi guys, these lil ladies are 13 days from seed, strain is train wreck(indica hybrid), growing in 70% MG organic choice potting soil 30%perlite (going to try and transplant tonight to bigger pot w/ 50% coco coir, 30% perlite, 20% worm castings as I have come to learn MG is shit and not the good kind). As you can see the leaves are kind of cupping and the tips have browned.. Soil run off is testing pH 6-7(litmus paper) and no nutes have been started yet. Lights are 67w CFL ea, so 134w in 2sq ft. Temps vary day and night between 20 and 26 degrees Celsius. Humidity range 35%-45%. Running lights 12/12 with plants 5" away from light. I am total noob so any advice would be great. thanks in advance.

they need more light, at least 16hrs if you want more growth and green leaves. Try not to stress them out, the less the better when transplanting and stress.

no, it has nothing to do with the timing of the lights. any strain can grow vigourously on 12/12 from seed. there can be problems if there is not enough light, as is usually the case with CFLs. this case could also have something to do with over watering and PH issues from hot soil

which leads me to say, if you're going to transplant, make sure it's into something sterile. seedlings need little to zero nutrients until they are on their second or third node at the earliest

on second glance i'm double sure this plant hasn't gotten enough light, since it appears the tap-root has failed to penetrate more than a couple centimetres into the soil

I have no problems with a 64w 2 bulb t8 for 2 seedlings. So if it's light, it's too much light. MG organic is okay, the non-organic ferted one is asking for trouble though. Do you keep a dome on them? They may just be drying out a bit.

I don't think transplanting is a good idea. What size of pot is it in?

A good soaking, ensuring run off (I think that medium may be a tad hot as well) then just leave them to soak up that water. there is still plenty life in them.

Now that I notice, you didn't say what the other 30% of your soil is. I think you accidentally erased it.

Looks like too hot of soil, have one or two that looked like that and I could only pin point it to a different soil I used..........mind you it was after I had transplanted. As buddy in a post earlier said, put em in seedling soil when theyre young....it works really well.

Ok so I can safely rule out nute burn, lighting, pH, under watering. Possibly over watering?

DST: 4" planter pots
kpmarine: 30% perlite

But isn't comparing fluoro tubes to CFL apples to oranges? I guess in more universal terms I am putting out 8200 lumens in a PC case, how many lumens in your 2 tubes and how many would you recommend? Aslo I kept humidity dome on for first 10 days after germination ie they had 1st true leaves grown in. How long should I be leaving it on for?

Ok, so to anybody whom comes across this thread. I have solved my problem but still don't have a solution. I transplanted to slightly larger pots (pc stealth grow space is an issue). Changed to a soil less composition of 50% coco coir, 30% perlite and 20% worm castings. Added a 1/5 strength DNF Gro and reduced lighting slightly (150w cfl to 120cfl)Here is what happened over the course of the 3 days.IMAG0661.jpg
