what to look for in a vac and chamber setup

when you do 50 gram batches you cant spread it thin, and the heat you apply should make it gooey enough to spread its self out

when you run your 100 grams you will see you wont have any room inside the chamber if you do
oh and i would suggest running your trim and your nugs in 2 different runs
and do a run with the nugs whole then dump them out on to a plate and let them dry out and the next day grind them up and blast them again

yo vacpurge, check out my thread before you vacpurge!, soo close, i rec what twitch says in the quote.. do seperate runs, and try rerunning the nugs.. when you blast the nugs as chunky nugs, dont spray forever, (your gonna respray it, so you dont need to saturate this nuggy run with massive amounts of butane.. )..
 
ive ran buds before. maybe the bud wasnt the best but it was horrible result. the butane came out the other end white still. I wasnt impressed. i will never do that again.

I just chop the bud up, finer than you would for a joint. throw it in the tube and blast it... it comes out so fuckin golden its crazy.

the furthest I would go it running the bud and shake in 2 seperate batches.. only because its 2 different kinds and im sure they would yeild 2 different kinds. otherwise if it was the kush buds that my 100g of kush shake is from, I would just grind the bud, grind the shake, combine it all in one big pile and start filling the extractor.

and when I say shake, I mean bottom of my freezer bags of bud.

that stuff might have been chopped a little too much. I shake the extractor after every can of half can (lets see you do that with your glass ones :p) and it definitely doesnt clump up and not rinse... ive tried second rinses. its a waste of butane. 6$ in butane doesnt even yield 6$ back in oil on my 2nd rinses. also, I noticed on a 100g second rinse I pulled around 1 gram. its not the best.. and I notice it wont freeze when put in the freezer so I can get it off the parchment paper like all the other oils have!

twitch: I didnt say I would have 100 grams of oil, I said 100 grams of weed. I am going to have 20 grams of oil and a 3 gallon chamber.... ive seen on youtube (knotty) has done 100 gram oil runs in his 3 gallon vac-it pro with no problems. it required 1 lb of weed for him to get 100 grams... then he vac purged. it was 1 big cookie like you guys got the size of a small dinner plate. its what got me interested in vac purging and its why I signed up on this site.

so he puts his desiccator in the oven????? or wtf? how do you guys heat for 24 hours while purging? seems like his temps are high, no?
 
This is going really well I'm fired up to get rolling with this. Just took down part of my run, 2 more batches to come down, manicure, and its off to the races with this. :clap:

good luck man! blow your material as soon as possible! for optimal results, try to blast your trim within a 1-3 weeks after the plant is chopped down, the sooner the better!

keep trim stored in sealed glass jars, turkey bags.. you want the trim to be as fresh as possible, OKKKKKKKKKKKKK. not moist though, but not brittle :p

Do you guys think that 25.5. Or 26 gh is not enough to purge?
I did two batches last night small 2 grams of oil back batches and I'm doin the jar and pump for my chamber for mow
And the most I can get it to is 26 last night I did one 5 times for about 20 minutes each time, the first I did 3 times.
the 5 times purges came out smoother but still some small bubbles, the 3 times had no bubbles but not as smooth, more trim was used tho on the stuff not as smooth and bud was used on the smoother 5 times purged


Sorry if that was confusing but yeah basicly is oing up to 26 5 times good enough?
This weekend I'm getting a pound of trim and hoping for a 10 percent retun going to try and get vacuumed purging down.

not sure if I would want my loud pump running for 36 hours, or if it would even run that long.

As long as it is in the right vacuum range, it doesn't care whether the pump is running or not, but it is less work to just let it run.

If one were to use a crock pot, would you suggest installing the bulkhead fitting through the lid or through the side wall of the crock pot?
