Alright - i'll try to help - don't want to see anyone going down hard.
to your point about people being shot in old wars - doctors have been around since ancient times - long before there were firearms and their techniques have improved since then (for the most part). It ain't magic cause unlike magic - medicine actually works the majority of the time - provided the diagnosis is correct. so hopefully that alleviates some of your fear or mistrust of going to the hospital

as for the insurance - if you plan on paying go and work something out - if you don't plan on paying or can't - go to the emergency room and try to get away with giving fake information (name/address/phone/emergency contact/etc..)

yeah it is a drag but if your condition deteriorates it will be A LOT more money and A LOT more time spent at the hospital.

a little pain in the ass now - vs. a huge pain in the ass in the future.

lead poisoning isnt caused by something like a bb. It is from buildup overtime that makes you go crazy. If you can, use some dermics to pull it out. steralize everything. After out sterilize again and use vitamin A&d. Keep a&d to kill infection. Do not use hydrogen peroxide.
If you have to leave it in, it usually will work itself out.

I put in my own stitches and it works. That is my only background in medicine.

im hoping someone will post something like...take 5 fan leaves, put peanutbutter and jelly on the wound and use the fan leaves to cover the afflicted area...:blsmoke:

he-haw :) i was hoping for a home-remedy from...idk...someone in the hood..or one of those prostitutes/nurses to lend a drop of knowledge from the oldest professions around, since they seen a thing or two in their days.

i need to refer someone to this thread.....
but i accidentally shot my dog and the .22 bullet hasent poisend him. Its been a month now too. Before you say he shot his own dog!:shock: He was trying to hurt a 6week old puppy.
 
Stuborn as a mule you are.. Go to the Er and get it checked and some antibiotics. They can not refuse to treat you if you can't pay.

Seriously this is a far as I've read..but ya gotta get that thing out if it's still in there...it's just festering infection...and will only get worse. get it out..and clean it really good..fuck the peroxide..you need to feel the pain(i'm a mother..you shouldn't been playing around). Use some fuckin alcohol and not whiskey!!!! and ya better start askin some of your buddies if they got any antibiotics layin around they haven't used up..like keflex or eurythromicin..and hope your not allergic to the shit..Ohh and i did see the picture of that festering thing..you need antibiotics. I'm not one for takeing other people's meds..but scince ya got no coverage.it's the next best thing..hope it works out for ya..:-|

I knew..that I just wanted to stress don't clean it with that....get some antibiotics..ask your buddies..noone ever finishes them..keflex would be best..google it ..it has other names. Don't just take bullshit look for antibiotics.............Damn KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Other names..Cephalexin sporidex ranbaxy keflex fights bacteria in the body..
