What the hell is wrong with ROLLITUP.ORG?

I've only been visiting this forum for a few months now. Honestly, I thought this was a really cool place to learn a few things and share some information with others who need it.
Lately....This forum has been a real inconvenience.
Meaning:
Sometimes I can never even log on
It takes forever to load up
It takes forever to go from one page to the next
Sometimes I can't even submit a new thread....It won't load
The search key doesn't work properly
My gallery pics are gone

If things don't change, then I'm gonna have to go somewhere else, because it's become a complete waste of time.

It's a shame.....I thought this was a cool place to hang out.

Hmmm......not sure why your having problems. The site was experiencing growing problems a while back but i thought everything was fine now. At least alls good here. Maybe try posting this in the support forum.

The site has had some problems off and on as RIU tweaks the software. This last tweak seems to have eliminated everyone's galleries (for which I am bummed, I thought I'd bookmarked mine so I could at least access it). Occasionally, when there are several hundred users on site, it definitely bogs, usually evenings.

Dont let the door hit you in the ass on the way out ... Bro they said they were upgrading the site ,,, bear with it or go wherever you want .. its a free world ..

I posted this in the Toke-n-Talk because I thought I would get people who are maybe experiencing the same problems.

I've been bearing with it for a couple of weeks now....How long does it take to do an upgrade?

I'm on about a dozen forums...ranging from cooking, working on cars, motorcycles, etc. etc.
This is the only site I'm having problems on.

Maybe I will let the door hit me in the ass. I'll check on this site in a couple of months. If things haven't changed, then ROLLITUP.ORG will become a memory.

why in the world would you want that to happen? j/p I've been seeing it bog down occasionally also sometimes it won't load pages or it'll load ridiculously slow but when I'm waiting I just open a new tab and go play LPC(you could do whatever else you would regularly do)!:mrgreen:

p.s.I think I have the longest sentence in this thread:peace:

If you have been paying attention Admin (rollitup) has stated there will be problems and delays ,,, IT's NOT like you paid a membership,,,,,,, Bye Bye ...... You'll be back cause you KNOW THIS SITE IS THE BEST ON THE WEB

And in addition to that it has been specifically stated that such threads would result in your leaving, as korvette mentioned it is a free site, Until the have a way to accept payment for elite status I would assume its going to be work in progress, seeya. VV

I totally agree, 25 seconds from hitting 'quote' I finally get to post my thoughts. The site has been the same for me for the last 3 months, so bad some nights I just dont bother!:joint:

Rollitup has been working very hard to make this site better for all of us. Now with summer time holidays, very busy schedules and server going down last week etc. Give him a break, this is no easy job I am sure. I sure couldn't do it. It will get better, be patient and stop bashing Rollitup. :mrgreen::peace:

yea I'm almost positive it will get smoother when school starts again cause a lot of the "kiddies" will be busy with school life.

For what it's worth, I don't think that asking what's wrong and listing the issues the person is having with using the site equals "bashing". RIU isn't going to know people are having any problems if they say nothing, right?

We're on a big fat pipe from our ISP, and when there are several hundred people on site, it bogs, plain and simple. It's gotten worse when I see software changes are being made, and usually better as they get sorted out. At this point there is only one thing that hasn't been straightened out, and that is my ever-lovin' gallery pix linkage. I like to click peoples' galleries. :)

RIU knows there are issues and he is trying very hard to fix them. I understand his frustrations and feel them too. The title is negative to begin with and calling RIU a complete waste of time, is bashing it to me. :mrgreen::peace:

i often have him in chat in a second window. even if we aren't chatting he is most often a click away. whenever i have issues i immediately let him know. 9 times outta 10 he is already on it.

i tried to open a web site just to post some articles on. i couldn't get past page 1. this shit is hard. fdd2blk.com
