What the hell is this? Can't seem to identify!

Hey RIU,

I've been fortunate enough to have my 2nd grow really dialed in. No nute burn, vigorous growth, etc, etc.. Only issue I've had is Fungus Gnats. It's not bad and honestly I pretty much decimated the population by 95% with GoGnats, and spraying and saturating the soil with it. But before I did so I noticed these rather random yellowing of some fan leaves. I'm not sure if it's a critter munching on it, or some kind of deficency I haven't picked up on.

Can any of you provide me with some insight on this? Again, out of the 5 big bushy plants I have in my tent, only a handful have minor signs of this. They are on their 10th day of Flower.

has same thing while my plant experienced pH problems! leaves seems to have deformation but no big deal, it like recovered by itself for new growth!

Hmm, PH problems? I didn't think of this because 4 out of the 5 females look fantastic.. Except 1 which has deformation.

This poses a 2nd question: Can specific genetics prefer a certain PH? Every feeding watering has been between 6.3-6.5 and checked with a Blue Lab PH pen that is calibrated... They are in FFOF, PH'd tap water that has about 220 ppm out of the faucet. Last feeding was a total PPM of 950.. And all are under 1,000 watt HPS.

Yes, certain strains can and will be diff to a certain extent.
I've even noticed that when I do an Indica and a Sativa side by side, they want 2 diff. nute solutions.
Last grow, my Sativa was the nute hog, and this grow it's the Indica that is always hungry.
As far as your yellow spots, when mine get that and it's not watering time yet and I have to wait a few more days, it starts yellowing the tips also, but I give a dose of nutes, with a little extra Ca/Mg, and it clears right up.
I just use tap water that has been left out overnight, comes out at 7.9 PH, but after I add nutes and sometimes Molasses, goes down.
This grow, I'm not even adding vinegar when I don't feed.

i certainly have noticed this. My next upcoming grow I'm only running 2 different strains. I'm running 4 strains at the moment and some eat way more than the other but so far except 1 pheno of blue dream has deformity but should be fine. Crazy, I have 2 blue dreams in the tent and the 2nd one is sativa dominant and super healthy one and the other is short and bushy with funny looking leaves. I should of cloned the good one.
