What strains are you growing?

For those that already have journals going, I suppose it's a bit redundant, but I was just curious what strains everybody's got growing? It'd also be cool to hear how you came up with the particular strain(s) you have now, and the thought process in your decision to grow which type(s).

I guess I'll start. Bubblegum, Black Kush, and Sour Diesel.

The Sour D I got because I hadn't tried it before, but everyone was telling me it was the bomb, so I got some clones from a guy who I knew had some, and decided to give them a try. It seems like a tough strain, able to deal with fluctuating environments, but it's sativa characteristics are stretching my lighting requirements to their limits.

Bubblegum- Read SO much about this strain, and has proven to be an excellent indoor strain. IMO, it's the garden favorite at the moment. The way the plant presents it's branches and the leaves reach for the light seem almost perfect.

Black Kush aka Blackberry Kush- A variety I was curious about, I got from a dispensary. Pure indica genetics, fat leaves, stout, but a little late with some of the branching. Eager to find out what the yield/taste will be like. All I've heard is that it's a really powerful stone, and has dense nugs, smoke.

How about you?

Long stories for most of my plants.

1. Swazi. When I first moved here, one of my coworkers had a couple seeds left over from when he grew. He was from South Africa and he said they were Swazi seeds. I started them off in a little Aerogarden, but because he had stored them in horrid conditions, only one actually survived. That original plant is dead because it was my first grow and I fucked up a lot of times. It lives on in clone form, though. I've been using the clone to practice LST and I will put it into 12/12 tomorrow. After all the problems I've put this through, I'm actually hoping for a hermie. I want SEEDS dammit!

2. Chinese bagseed. See my sig for the grow journal. One appears to be completely sativa, and the other looks to be more indica. It's odd, since they came from the same bag of schwag. They go 12/12 tomorrow along with the Swazi

3. Diesel Ryder. I bought these seeds because I loved the idea of an autoflowering strain. It also sounded stronger than Lowryder #2, but it was from the same seedbank, so I trusted the genetics. Despite having plants that are much older, Diesel Ryder was the first strain that I have harvested. I was very happy with the results, and now I've got plenty of seeds for future generations.

4. Blue Mystic. I love collecting seeds, so I bought Some Blue Mystic from Nirvana along with some Afghan. They just started the other day, but I plan on keeping these two alive as mother plants. (If they're female.)

Although I don't have any growing at the moment, I also have seeds for Malonica (Malawi Gold x Chronic) and White Widow. I want to get some Black Widow, since they're the original genetics. I've also got a ton of bagseed that I plan on holding on too. Some of the genetics I've seen in my bagseed plants are fairly interesting.

Interesting. I found myself in a similar situation for many years (seedless) with P-91. I was always hoping for a hermaphrodite/seeds, or even a random seed, but it never happened. That Blue Mystic sounds intriguing. Definitely let us know how that one works out.

Seriously? I thought there would be a lot of people too lazy to make a journal (like myself) that would find this type of thread somewhat useful. Anybody?

Currently I am growing
2 Arjan's Ultra Haze #2 - Ordered from attitude, couldn't resist growing such a pure and potent sativa, how I decided on #2 I'm not sure, but they're sprouted and there's no going back.

1 G13 Labs Sour Diesel - Freebie from attitude, I know G13 labs has terrible genetics, but it's sour diesel, so lets hope for the best.

11 Grand Master Kush - This I received from a fellow member on rollitup, apparently some Grand Daddy Purp had pollinated his Master Kush or vice versa, none the less they've been exceptional seeds and plants. I started 2 under CFL's at first, they have different phenotypes but both germinated within 8 hours and have grown like weeds. I planted 8 more and cut one clone, they germinated faster than all of my other seeds still. On most I cannot determine sex but the 2 oldest plants both show female preflowers, so I have high hopes!

1 Sour diesel - Got this from a friend, smoked some of the batch it came from. Exceptional to say the least. Planted this along with the other two I got from the same friend, waiting on them to sprout.
1 Lambs breath - Read above.
1 Lemon Skunk - Read above.

Big batch for my first grow, though I think I have the whole nutrient thing down with foxfarms and some organic soil I purchased.

Man those sativa strains you have going sound off the hook! Can't wait to hear how the Ultra Haze turns out. Definitely let us know! And "Grand" Master Kush? Never heard of that one before, but I have heard of Master Kush. Is there any difference?

I can't either, 13 weeks of flowering is what greenhouse recommends, and they just sprouted, luckily they veg for 1 maybe 2 weeks before going 12-12.

I hadn't heard of Grand Master Kush either, but it's apparently Master kush crossed with Grand daddy Purple, and so far they look very promising. I Just started a journal, I'm going to update pictures later today.

got a journal.. but ill post anyways...

right now i have 1 chemdog, 3 og kush, 3 blue berry, and 1 white shark... the chem and kush were clones and the bb, ws were both from seed...the bb are fem'd.. the only questionable one is the ws.. but i think its female due to its growth pattern.. but its just a guess..

do to a lot of unforseen environmental issues and other set backs (long story.. but went from soil to hydro and changed grow rooms and the such.. temps were in the 90s/100s for about a week, both room and res, while i was waiting on some equipment and doing some construction..) i am probably going to lose the chemdog and a couple of the og kush... so i have some seeds coming... i ordered some greenhouse super lemon haze... sagamartha matanuska tundra, dutch passion strawberry cough, g13 labs gigabud, and got the following 4 strains from dinafem (freebie seeds) bluehash, powerkush, white widow, and roadrunner..

i plan on scrapping the chemdog and a couple kushs (roots are fried and growth is WAY to slow now) and possible one of the bb that is growing slow... i am going to germ the dinafems, cough, gigabud, 1 SLH, and 1 PK and throw those in.. so in about a week i will be growing: Blueberry, White Shark, OG kush, Power Kush, Strawberry Cough, Super Lemon Haze, Matanuska Tundra, Bluehash, Roadrunner, White Widow, and Gigabud..... should be interesting...

i have a white widow fem. clone growing outside(mother plant, under LST)
i just love this old good white widow.you can keep it real bushy and short if you top it and lst -it.it yields excellent and the high what you get after just 2-3 hits is amazing.

to me its a must grow strain.

I've added Hashberry and White Indica from Ceres Seeds to the mix this time around, and in about 90-100 days I should have and answer as to has those work out, but so far, Bubblegum has been the most consistent workhorse. Without resorting to straight sativa genetics, I'm still trying to find the one strain better than P-91 I used to grow better than it. It was a hybrid indica/sativa, absolutely covered itself in white THC crystals, and finished in 6-7 weeks, with a medium/high yield. Can anybody name something else close?

Feminized Trainwreck from GHS, with the freebie feminized Dinafem Moby Dick thrown in for good measure.

After 17 of 23 bagseed plants turned out to be male, decided to go strictly with feminized seeds from here on out - and tried to find a strain that would be quality without an outrageous price tag.:leaf:

Just started some the black seeds...three sprouts, still waiting on 4 more to sprout from rockwool-been a week. Supposed to be a nice night cap smoke. Looking for some good wake and bake strain though for next time.

I have 1 aurora indica almost ready to chop. Some star kush and el monstre that just went in the flower room.
I am vegging 1 gletsner (sp?), a couple more el monstre, some molokai frost seedlings and am hatching some walhalla beans right now too. Thats it for right now. Everything but the single Aurora is from www.sanniesshop.com. The AI is from www.marijuana-seeds.nl.

Nice! Can't wait to hear how they turn out. Let us know which of them works out the best. Btw, never heard of "el monstre" or walhalla before.
