Im going to need to transplant my ladies this week. what size pot should i step to? They are 3 weeks old from seeds, and they will be mothers if that helps.
If you want a plant to be around 40 in height, I would recommend vegging until it is about 18-20 inches tall...
For this size plant, I would transplant into 2 or 3 gallon pot now
Then transplant 2 weeks into flowering, 3-5 gallon pot
4 foot for a veg/mother room is fine (if floros and not HID). Once they hit that 'too tall' size, they are getting chopped down for clones and allowed to grow back.
right now i have 6 26w cfls on a custom mylar reflector setup, with 5 plants. small grow room about 3'x3'x4', mylar walls. ill be adding about 10 more 14w cfls to help out. they are in fox farm ocean forest soil, only have been feeding them water right now. but have the fox farm trio on hand.
If they are going to be mothers I would suggest getting at least 3 gallon pots... The root system is important, especially when you are going to be clipping her for clones all the time...
