I am looking for a meter the a grower would use. I need to keep the cost inline, any suggestions? I already have a moisture, light and soil ph meter but need one to read the nutrient parts of my solutions ect.. I am trying to grow the best I can. Thanks.

Sunleaves makes a TDS meter that is cheap ($25).. Hanna has a few cheaper pH testers. Checker 1 ($37) or the Champ ($48.).. If you want one that does it all (EC, temp. as well) it will cost about $150-$200. Hope this helps!

I went through for 20 dollar meters in a year before I finally bought a decent one. That cost less than what I already spent. HM Digital makes one that can be had for about 80 bucks free shipping on ebay. Waterproof, replaceable probe, not a throw away meter.

Hmmm, you know I've never needed a meter when growing organically. Once a year I'll buy a $6 soil test kit from Home Depot, but that's about it. Soil, water, seeds, fertilizer for veg and flower stages, and a notebook to record my sow dates and fertilizer schedule is all I ever needed.

Are you growing in soil or doing hydroponics?
