What medium produces the fastest, strongest, highest yielding plants?

imo nothing beats a pure bubble bucket(DWC), a 5 gallon bucket with an air pump. its simple, cheap and out performs anything pound for pound. for a few plants, say up to 3 or 4 it's the best way in terms of what you asked. but as others have said it doesn't scale up well......more than just a few plants and it's a lot of work. if it's just a small home grow of 2 or 3 plants, nothing will out perform it, not ebb&flow, not NFT, not soil, nothing.
i don't know why but recirculating DWC doesn't perform as well as non-recirculating buckets. just my experience.

Computer controlled RDWC or thin film are used in industrial food growing....You should see the tomato "factories" in Holland and around the EU!
I helped set up and then ran a Computer controlled herb growing farm, running thin film. They had trouble with the tech. I got a call to come and look it over. Ended up re-setting much of the thing! Then they couldn't get anyone to run it well, and I did on the side for about a year (till I demanded they get someone else - I'm busy).

Looked a lot like one of Ed R's set ups I've toured...
Great system, once it was squared away and calibrated......Nutrients and such are in 330 gal plastic tanks in a metal cage/skid,,,wait,,,here's what I mean -

They get GH 3 part in them.....Supplements and PH fluids are in 55gal drums. Everything is monitored by the computer and it makes adjustments as it needs. All the people do is harvest and replace the plants. Change over tanks as needed and the run to waste goes to outdoor grown plants on a drip system. The rest is used on lawns and city/school lawns in the community so as to utilize it! Even the Indian casino use's it on it's lands....It's a come and get it yourself situation. Winter time is the time when it's mostly wasted.

Cool op.
What's the startup cost for a 7 180 site dwc systems?

?????

Exactly.
Please quote me a start up for a dwc system to fit large scale that doesn't take any more maintenance than coco pots and stakes.....I'll wait cuz it doesn't exist unless you have an endless checkbook and in that case does that really make you a better grower and grow better product to be worth it? Cuz i can tell it's not cheap

Again let me know a startup cost cuz i guarantee mines way lower again talking about an instant start-up quote cuz mine will be about half be easier maintenance cost less to keep effective results
Because people will haul coco around for free. (not to mention give it to you for free)

Shit bro, this fucker is huge (as far as sites, over a thousand, easy - per room) and I never asked what they spent on it......I would guesstimate over 10-12K on software alone......Maybe around 5K on the controls and equipment...As far as hardware, I wouldn't guess. I do know they got a discount and a fed grant to start it up....The system grows the plant to package/shelf size.....say around 6-8" and out it goes with others placed in as the market size plant goes out. Basil, oreg, sage, thyme (grown longer and sections are harvested from the plant, etc....In buildings. They do sprouts and prepackage stir fry mix's too.

No but u can get it cheap as fuck and again quote me startup instead of just trying to tell me what my issue is. Again quote a price because when you talk about this people don't just infinite money to start. We aren't talking about Monsanto who bought out botanicare and will prob do a system like but I mean seriously how many pumps per room? Fittings? Clamps? Hoses? Goes on forever and those will need to be replaced unlike the plastic buckets and reusable tupur and again you'd need an extra 10 million in loans just for the software to run a plant system like that. Again please quote me a price just for the 7 180 site flower rooms just for the dwc system for those.....and we'll compare the initial buy of coco pots, stakes, hell could prob do all my lights too compared to your software. I bet i could setup the whole grow with tupur for the price it would cost you to setup 1 room....and again can you justify the price when yield wise you'll pull over gpw guaranteed I mean this system yielded 2.3lb average per light over 45 lights a room.....can you justify all that extra money for what if not yield then why just to look cool?
