I'm a machinist, well I was. Now I'm going to school an getting a masters degree in machining education so I can teach machining, hopefully at my local v.o.c center.

I am a glass blower. I make fun stuff to smoke herbs and extracts out of. When the "professional" people in my family were going to college and my folks were helping them out because they were " doing the right thing" I was buying my first torch and small kiln. Now that I can make more per hour than both of my siblings with Masters degrees put together they say much less. Now my family all looks at how I am the happiest member of the family and the least stressed about career and income and have changed their tune. My siblings still lean on my folks for help while I am the only one of the kids able to offer help to my folks. They all told me I was smoking my future away. Looks like I manifested my future through smoking

I worked fast food, as a cook in a number of restaurants, a soccer referee, and a baseball ump. I did a little gofor work for a construction crew too.

Agreed. If I do I never plan on seeing what's owed to me. It's immediately written off as a loss (or favor).
