what kind of work do the Michgan RUI people do for a living?

So wondering what kind of work does everyone do for a regular day job besides growing some awesome meds?


Im a bodyman and i work for one of the BIG 3 auto companies. we do 90% of ALL the autoshow cars, TV commercial paint jobs or peel coats, movie set cars, preproduction reveal cars/concept, fleet repairs, and some insurance work. i do a little painting, but more wetsanding/rubing, bodywork, spraying primer, and occasionally slacking off when i can. lol
I also do side work out of my garage (painting bodywork).

I was in Local 4 B.A.C. out of indiana and Local 9 here in Michigan. Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. I was a tile guy. Done everything from Four Winds casino, Blue Chip and horshoe Casinos to schools, hospitals ans everything inbetween.

But because of my back and nerve damage I haven't done squat! Haven't been able to walk the streams, fish the rivers or do anything that doesn't involve constant pain. And since I'm up editing this post at 3:o5 a.m. sleep is also one of those favorite things I no longer do!

disabled now but back in the day I was an HVACR tech. before that small engine repair. before that Military Training Instructor, and crew chief on c-5 aircraft in the USAF! always AIM "HIGH"

Used to have a nice skilled trades tool maker job. Too good of pay and benefits for todays society so it had to go overseas. Nowadays I am self-employed. Multuple streams of income, none that will make you rich but when they all get added up together I can get by.

I was working at a major auto axle supplier as a warehouse/material handler but they let me go cuz of downsizing at the end of January. Been looking ever since with little results. Even had my friend's wife redo my resume because she has a degree in HR. It's hard out here for a pimp.

worked 5 years in JCIM makin auto interior parts for big 3...

just got fired about 7 weeks ago... i got setup.. long story short.. FUCK MY LOCAL UAW!!!! for not backing me up.. after paying my $30 dues every fuckin month.

There is work left in Michigan ? I know there are jobs of course and the economy is what it is but damn back in the late 80's and early 90's there were jobs everywhere in this state , now it is often meaningless minimum wages and nothing more .

I'm doing the same job I was doing 10 years ago, only with no union and $8 less per hour :cuss: Fuckin sucks....
