Sanders has he highest approval rating in the Senate, 72%, while also holding one of the lowest disapproval ratings, 23%

Trump's approval rating is hovering around mid 40s, disapproval at around 60%

Sanders probably has the best chance of any Democratic candidate of defeating Donald Trump in 2020. Biden has a pretty good chance, too. Hillary Clinton is even surging in the polls, but I'd argue electing her again would be a mistake. We should go with someone who is far ahead of Trump in the polls, not within the margin of error.

That would be important if Senators were elected nationally.

In national polls that are about a national post, Biden is more popular than Sanders.

You might as well start crying about how the elections were rigged in 2020 because Sanders is going to lose. Sanders is consistent, I'll give you that. He ignored about 40% of the voting base in the 2016 primary and he's doing so again in the lead-up to the 2020 contest. There is some old chestnut about the definition of insanity but I won't bring it up.
