What is this? What causes it? Should I be concerned?

Is it just one leaf or everywhere?

I have that happen here and there to an odd leaf on a plant. As long as it’s just one and doesn’t progress no reason to worry.

From my own experience, I've seen odd things like this every once in a blue moon...always happens at night...and then one day I stumbled upon the cause, at least for me...the common cockroach. Just a thought...

Cockroach was munching down or what?

Time to clean and bug bomb the house lol

...then set it on fire just to be sure

Absolutely not. I've lived here for 15 years and never seen/had a cockroach problem. I appreciate the suggestion but just no lol.

that could be insect damage, or it could be mechanical damage, where you grabbed the leaf when you were moving the plant, or something like that. i'd keep an eye out for any further damage. if you see more, you have something eating your plants....something way bigger than mites.
