I am a newbie grower and what to make hash with my trimmings. I have looked at a few different ways to do it and am just wondering which way people generally find the simplest.
What is the easiest way to make hash?

dry ice is great and the end product is really nice if you dont over do the shake..., iso is fun but iam never to sure about the purity of the end product, ive yet to try butane extraction but i def wanna try it once i fill my trim bag up again... but by far the easiest way is to take straight kief, seal tightly in plasatic wrap of some kind, stick it in your shoe and walk on it all day.. pull it out and you got pressed kief hash ready to top any bowl or crumble into any joint

I had a bunch of fluffy popcorn buds that I cut off last night, and used some 91% ISO, didn't freeze the alcohol, or the buds and trim, just straight in, and shook occasionally, and soaked for about 45 minutes.
Got it evaporating off right now.
Didn't do all the normal stuff that everybody recommends, just trying something so we'll know if it works or not.

It took me about 6 hrs. to evap off a quart of the 91%, just sitting, with a fan nearby, about 70 degrees.
I just finished scraping, and it came out just like what could be squeezed into a chunk, then used, but I'm not going to try it tonight, already been drinking plenty.
I have a second batch to evap off tomorrow, got it sitting out right now, but IDK how it's going to turn out-it's got a green tint to it, not a brown like the first batch, maybe because I have been soaking this one in the 91% in the fridge most of the afternoon and shaking.
I'm not disappointed yet though, I got a little over 2 grams from almost an ounce of loose popcorn bud, and a little sugar leaves.

never heard of these wacky bags.. are they like bubble bags??? the ice-o-lator from what i heard is basically just a washing machine full of ice water and a set of bubble bags with the trim on the inner most bag.. the bag is vigorously tumbled breaking off the trichomes due to the cold water and runs threw the micron screened section of the bags.. take the bags out, scrape the hash goop from the inside and let the water dry outta it
there is a way to reproduce the ice-o-lator with a 5 gal bucket, a few bags of ice, trim, bubble bags, and one of those mixers you can attach to a drill

you should try a small run with extraction that was only sitting for like a min and see if you like it better... the green is the alcohol extracting the chlorophyll from the plant material, you should come out with a cleaner tasting iso with a shorter soak time.. good shit tho, i always collect my stems for like 5 months and just make iso with em, its not as good as doing it with bud or trim, but worth not throwing out the stems

Damn, I tossed all the stems, but thanks, I was curious why the longer soak was green, whereas the short soak (1-1/ 1/2hr) soak was brownish.
But, like I mentioned, this is an experiment, isn't that how new processes and shit are discovered?
By guys trying things when either stoned, drunk, or lazy? LOL

trust me brotha, ive done many experiments with iso hash hahaha 
its actually nice cuz if u make a batch your not too fond of, just dissolve it in more iso with the next run
on a side note, the mad scientist part of it is what makes it fun and makes you into a better hash maker with more knowledge of your product!!!!

I figured I would experiment, and find out what I like and don't like, seeing how I only have about $9 invested in this grow.
Out of 2 plants, I have pulled almost a quarter oz. and knowing I would'a paid at least $120 for that, I'm happy, and still have left to do some experimenting on.

This is my opinion and my opinion only,there are many opinions but this one is mine. LOL
Dry ice is the easiest and fastest. After dry iceing you can then run the product to BHO. Best of both worlds. you can Iso the by product too.
Bubble Hash, Ice/water is my favorite taste wise and a true hash form.
BHO is nice and tasty and stoney.

I do the ISO method ad let the ISO evaporate on a plate under a fan. The issues is consistency I can make 2 batches out of one trimming session but one batch does not come out the same as the other even though everything is the same.

wacky bags are north american copies of the ice-o-lator- they are considerably cheaper to buy and don't have to go through customs for shipping in Canada

One thing I picked up along the way to get rid of the cloro/green/flav is water cure, but it does remove a bit of the good taste as well. But for iso or other hashes that a lot of trim is gonna be used, it will get rid of the clorophil without damage to the trics.
It takes a few extra days, but imo improves the end result of the finished product when more trash is used, I wouldn't do if I was using higher end trimmings cause with the higher end youll get much better flavor and I dont want to mute that.
