What strains of weed have you put through the volcano?
who cares?

I don't feel the need to buy a volcano as the 250 dollar herbalaire can do EVERYTHING it can do and MORE.

comes with a 3 year warranty, just like the volcano, 18 little jets to push hot air through the herb (which doesn't have to be ginded . . . )

but for real, if another volcano elitist comes in here asking me what strains I've used with the volcano and etc, I'm just gonna stop posting.

this vape kicks the shit out of the volcano in price, and seems to do the SAME EXACT THING, and more.

check this shit

If you are looking for a cheap vape that actually works, I paid $150 delivered to Aus, its also an Australian supplier....

Its excellent... Can't speak highly enough of it...:weed:

bah, that thing would stay in my closet all day long.

whip vapes aren't nearly as satisfying as bag vapes like the herbalaire . . . .

I plan on getting the herbalaire in a couple months just because of that review. I was leaning towards the volcano, but damn they're expensive.

yeah for real.

I like how the volcano has everything in it, solid construction, etc.

but it technically offers nothing over the herbalaire, especially when you weigh out that they both have equal warranty . . . .

the herbalaire can also use the whip function for those who prefer it (not me.)

so, from what I've heard from highflyby who has owned a volcano in the past, the herbalaire produces the same quality vapor, possibly even better.

plus, the pump is separate and the size of the unit is small in general, portable, easy to use and clean, very innovative . . . .

And that's what pretty much sold it on me (and the price of course). I have an iolite right now, which works awesome... can't complain. ( Use to think it sucked, but was doing it wrong lol ) Anyway, I want a bigger unit where more people can use it at the same time-ish. iolite definitely isn't made for that.

hell yeah is the iolite worth purchasing for hikes?

like 3-5 day hikes. would I need to pack a can of butane with me?

I just don't want to have to smoke because I lack a power source ;).

Perfect for hikes bro. and yes bring a can of butane. You'll have to refill the vape after every 2 sessions. (takes like 3 secs to fill, it's no biggy) when i bought mine from the vaperstore I bought a can to go with it so i knew for a fact it was the right can for the job. I recommend you do the same if you go that route.

So your answer to "Have you actually tried the volcano?" is obviously "No"

Not knocking the herbalaire, i think thats a bad ass vape, and i like that you can use a whip or fill a bag. Plus, i agree the volcano is crazy expensive. I'm just saying, TRY the Volcano before you say it its even with the herbalaire.

I feel my point is made now like I said people only knock the volcano that have never used one. I wish I was a volcano "elitist" poplar but I still have yet to scrounge $600 for one. A friend of mine does own one and like I said before, hands down it beats any other vape on the market.

Sorry for calling the herbalaire chinese in my ignorance but it is still not on par with the volcano or even the silver surfer IMO.

PS- I have personally use the herbalaire as well

Ever since I got my Iolite I have been using it multiple times a day. Just last week I vaped a bowl in Alice in Wonderland in 3D and nobody was any wiser!

Best portable vape, period. Just a steep entry price, which is really too bad.

I still believe it's on par with the volcano, and FAR above the silver surfer.

I mean common, are you SERIOUSLY going to compare a high end bag vape like the herbalaire to a whip vape (the ssv .. . )

seriously, that's worse than calling the herbalaire chinese garbage . . . .

and also about the iolite, if you have to refill that thing every 2 sessions, at my rate of medicating I don't think it can handle my consumption, I'd probably have to bring like 3 cans of butane, that'd be ridiculous.

I'll just smoke joints or do solar rips out of the pipe when I'm hiking.

I"m also going based off of my buddy who has owned a volcano and says it's on par with it.

I'd also think it's 3 year warranty says SOMETHING about the quality of this thing.

yea, i had a buddy who was very familiar with the Volcano, who decided to go with the Herbalaire just based on price, and dual use ability. Another good point for the herbalaire is that it is built on this continent, so i'd be supporting a more local economy. I consider the external pump a disadvantage, because the pump used isnt one that was designed for humans ingesting the air stream, or for sending the right amount of air across the herb. Im sure it still works just fine.
What kind of bags do you use? are they easy to find? Is there a valve on the bag to hold the vapor in, or do you have to put your thumb over it? I love the ease of finding bags, and the spring loaded mouthpiece on the Volcano.

edit- About the Volcano price: If you look at the parts + manufacturing costs + distribution + taxes + retailer greediness the Volcano is not worth the price. But the other factor to consider, are the research and development costs, you can see why they charge so much. They put a lot of time and money into making the vape right. The Volcano is the standard to compare to, and thats because of the time/research/money they sunk into the project. They need to recoup that money by keeping the price high for years to come, or until they have to drop the price because of an increasingly competitive market. The price is steady, indicating that the Volcano is still selling. Selling... at the high price point. The Volcano has been on the market for many many years, over-priced as it is, outselling the competition.

I've had the thing over a year now and i'm still working on the first can. However, i couldn't vape or smoke in the summers. But yeah, just smoking a j would be more efficient. I just thought u were mainly a vape guy.
