What is the best medium to transplant into from an aero cloner?

Hey everyone. I was wondering what the best medium would be for a clone coming from a aero cloner, with no medium, to go into a bubbleponics type system? Does anyone have suggestions? Is straight grow rock okay?

By bubbleponics are you talking about DWC?? I am not quite sure what bubbleponics is. If it is DWC, then I would suggest Hyrdoton. Maybe even cut a rockwool cube half way through, open it up, lay your clone in there, then plant it in the hydroton. LIke I said, I don't know if this is the setup you are talking about, then this is my suggestion. If its not, sorry I wasted your time.

the setup i was thinking is like dwc, but not 1 plant with 1 5 gal bucket. more like 8 plants in a 35 gal rubbermaid container with a drip system, air stones and misters. it will hold h2o but have a top off drain to a external resivor, where the drip system and misters will come from. i am new at this so these are basicly ideas at the moment. what is hydroton? a medium?

Yeah it is expanded clay pellets. It holds water and air for the plants plus anchors them in place. It is available at your hydro store or online. But its kind of heavy and the bags are big, so it may cost a lot to ship.

clay balls anyone?

clay balls are quite a good medium for DWC or any other hydroponic system and they are pretty cheap.

Um, Hyrdroton is a name brand of the "clay balls" you speak of. They are called expanded clay pellets. And yes they will be fine without the rockwool. When I transplant from an aero cloner, I just prefer to put them in a rockwool cube so that their roots are protected. I take my clones from my cloner, put them in cubes, then they go to soil. I haven't lost a rooted clone in over year since I started putting them in the cube before going into the soil. That is the only reason I mention putting them in a cube first.

How do you put rooted clones into rockwool?

Just get them wet like you usually would. Then take a razor blade and cut halfway through it. Just far enough so that you cut until the hole in the cube. Open it up, lay your clone in there, close it, and plant it.
