What Does The DEA Do With Confiscated Weed?

I was just thinking about this; agencies like the DEA and even local police would theoretically make more money the more they arrest people (bail, keeping confiscated money, etc). Let's say you arrest someone with a half kilo or something. why not just take the half kilo, process it as evidence to convict the fucker and when all that is over with they could just sell it back into the streets in hopes of arresting someone else with the same weed. they make more money this way so why the fuck not? that's insane thinking someone got arrested with this weed and now i'm smoking it.

am i just high and paranoid or does this seem likely to you guys since being a good officer is based on using equipment to take money from the people... im probably am just high and paranoid, we all know they would just smoke it instead.

I've heard and always thought they take it to Alaska for a mass burning. Either that or they just redistribute it via silkroad.

They usually incinerate. They use to do it in Oakland on High St. There was a medical waste disposal site there and when they would come in it would be in 4 unmarked cars and two vans of "contraband". 6 officers, 4 with guns drawn and 2 unloading into the incinerator.

When I seen a bust on Cops, they all put on gas masks and burnt it in a pile. Felt like adding "in a pile" was necessary to avoid a cliché stoner joke.

They go down the street and sell it to the next big drug dealer.

Wouldn't surprise me that it disapears sometime later and ends up in someones home. don't buy the fact that they dispose all of it, nah, I don't think so.

That was some funny ass shit.

In the Detroit there was a trial for a coke dealer when asked to produce the said Cocaine there was nothing in the box. A couple of pounds of coke just gone.

No police officers lost their jobs or position.
