What do YOU do with the soil and roots and shit when finished?

lol no seriously...I cant put in trash we have to use clear bags, how fucked up is that....Im just saying its a pain in the ass...Gonna have to start using hydroton or something to reuse i guess, becuz getting ride of the perlite/roots is killing me..Gonna drive out to the countryside and dump it in a ditch or something and return next yr and see if they can regenerate themselves lol..

I dump it on the train tracks or put it in a dumpster if theres one out there at the time.

I compost all trim stalks, and rootballs. I'll shake as much soil as I can out of the root balls and re-use the soil after it sets a while. I have some 55 galdrums that I store it in, and I "roll" the barrel every so often to avoid any anaerobic conditions.

old soil makes great compost base then with food scraps and some other additives you can make your own organic mix for your plants its what im setting up for right now

Straight into the vegetable garden for me. Makes a great soil ammendment. I just wish I knew more people looking to get rid of spent growing medium.

Yep, I put mine in my flower beds and garden. That stuff is indeed perfect for composting and top dressing.

i just made a thread about this a few weeks ago. usually i stick mine in fast food bags and dump them at the car wash when i "vacuum" but this summer i got behind and had too much for that. the soil just gets tossed into the homely section of my yard and tilled. had to find a dumpster this time. where is this that is forced to use clear bags for trash? i have never heard of such a thing. what if you have embarrassing stuff in there like hemmoroid cream or the box to a blow up doll or something? trash should be allowed to be kept private.

You're throwing away an entire pre-established eco-system. I incorporate bio-char in my soils, but even if you don't do that, there is a lot of life left in that thar soil!!
