Heyas,

I need to get something for ph control, using Fox farms soils and nuts, was curious what was good for soil use. Most of the ph up/down I see says for hydroponics. Useable in soil too??

Thx

Ok cool thanks guys.

So you set adjust the water before you water yer plants. What PH of water do you use? Do ya make it higher or lower than what u want the soil to be? This parts a bit confusing to me. I got a milwaulkee ph tester says my tap water is 7.8 but I havent figured out how to find out what my plants soil ph is. They look good at the moment but since I will be starting flower in a couple days im concerned bout the ph and how to monitor it properly.

if you water your plants with some ph 7 water (e.g. RO water) then test the runoff. 7.8 is high but your nutrients may be serving to bring this down somewhat. i adjust my nutrient solution to 6.5 and i also have a soil meter probe thing but the runoff is better. it may be that if your ph is seriously high you could flush through (2 times the soil quantity of water) with some ph 6.0 water and keep monitoring the runoff till you hit something you like the look of.
