Well another little update.

After the defoliation and topping a week ago we can seen in the photos below that she has just taken it in her stride, new tops forming, and bushing out. Main stem and branches are getting thicker, roots are healthy and poking out of the fabric pot. I will now let the plant grow untouched for the next few days then I will defoliate her again and a few days later she can go into the flower cab and under the net to flower out along side a Dinafem - Purps#1.

Flowering will be under 285 watts of Samsung Strips with some new red strips added to boost the flowering end of the spectrum, so things should get interesting.

So that's that for now images below as normal.

Update for today, I delayed the start of flowering for the Dinafem - Purps#1, it will get flipped this evening so 12/12 will be from 11pm-11am lights on.
I have just added in 4 X QB11 Deep Red led strips and have them running at 50 watts total and the white samsung strips are running at 285 watts.

For now that's it.

Toke...

Dinafem - Purps#1 Day 4 12/12 update

Things is moving along nice with the scrog and the cab was switched to 12/12. Feed is EC1.2 grow nutrient only, PH5.8 - 6.5. Nutrient temps 22c, Cab temp lights on 26-30c, lights of 21-23. Nutrient is set to drip constantly while lights are on and also 1 feed during lights out.

All training for the scrog is now complete so the tops can just get on with it now. I will defoliate the plant around day 14 of 12/12 and see how it goes from there. I have also just installed 4 x QB 11 - Deep Red Leds, these are running at about 50 watts at the wall and the white strips set at 285watts. The reds are in to be tested thanks to @diyleduk for suppling them and we will see what difference it will make to plant growth in flower and to final harvest.

That's it till next update.

Update for today Dinafem - Blueberrycookies.
I got the thumb cutters working and defoliated once again. The ties that had been holding the branches out to keep the canopy level have now been removed. On the 14/06/2019 I will be putting the plant into the flower cab and under the scrog net, I think once I spread her out she will be close to filling the 2.5ft x 2.5ft space, from here she will get tucked under the net as required for a few days. I have no idea what stretch to expect when it has been topped a few times as most people seem to top once and flower them rather quick. Feed is Ionic Hydro Grow at EC 1.3 PH 5.8-6.5, Nutrient temps 22c, Veg space temps 30c 24/7. So that's where we are at, the fun will start soon.

Ok folks a little update on the only HSO - "The New" plant that I have kept over. Nothing exciting to be fair as it has been a little to say the least neglected, got soggy root syndrome etc. So I have taken the poor thing out of it's pot coco / perlite mix and washed the roots down with some mild oxyplus and trimmed of a lot of dead stinky roots. The plant is now in it's new 11 litre fabric pot filled with hydroton and is being fed a light nutrient mix of Ionic Hydro Grow at EC0.8 Background EC0.4 Ph 5.8 Nutrient temps 22c, grow space 28-30c. New roots are starting to grow again nice and healthy looking. There won't be much good to look at as far as plant growth goes over the next week or so till it is a little further on building the roots, but once they do their thing I expect things to pick up rather fast. Image below as usual in my normal format, she does look rather sorry for herself which is my own fault not the strain.
That's it for now.

Dinafem - Blueberry Cookies Update.

Ok folks little update the Blueberry Cookies plant is now in the flower cab to fill out her side of the scrog net over the next two weeks, so just the usual tucking and spacing out of any new tops. The white Samsung scope kit light is running at 285 watts and I have also got the Deep Red Osram leds running at 50 watts for now.

Images below.

Dinafem - Purps#1 Scrog Plant Update.

So day 9 of flower and things are banging on rather nice, still on the same feed etc as before. Now as can be seen in the image below the canopy is a little up and down and doing my head in so next update will be once I have pulled all the tops down to even the canopy out somewhat. Pistils are developing and the tops are now starting to develop tighter nodes and flower sites as normal tops would do. On day 14 or so I will be defoliating and snipping out any sucker shoots or tops that are just to small to be of use. Once that is sorted I will up the feed level a little and give the plant a 50/50 mix of Ionic Hydro Grow and Bloom, also just a little silica to help strengthen the new growth to support the buds. In the last image The Trunk Of Dank you will see where I split the stem a week or so back by accident, I zip tied the trunk and let it heal and as can be seen things are fine.

So that's it for now. Take care.

Dinafem - Purps#1 Day 11 Flower Photos

So from what I am seeing having the 4 X Osram Qb11 Red Strips running at 50 watts along with the 285 watts of white strips from the flip to flower has reduced the time to get to this stage by about 3 days quicker than just running the whites. Now if I recall some people elsewhere had reported having more stretch when using added red spectrum (different chips from these), this as far as I can see is not the case here using the Osram reds, so that's a good thing but also note I find once the tops set they normally slow their stretch right down when using just whites, if that's the way then I would think some strains may be better vegged a week more to get longer colas. We will see for certain at end of week 3 12/12. I will update again later in the week. If im correct we may be able to compare this with how people find the new r-spec QB boards.
That's that for now.

Update time. HSO - "The New" by Sherbinski

Now the plant has been in the hydroton for a little while and I have topped her. The roots are now coming out the bottom of the 11 litre fabric pot, so the root building is going well and we should start to see some really nice new growth. I have the top drip/stream/river system running 24/7. Nutrient temps 22c. Feed Level EC 1.0 Ionic Hydro Grow, PH 6.0-6-5 I let it drift. Ambient temps 25-30 RH no idea.

Since I only have the one plant and have the top level of my cab empty I am going to keep topping and topping this plant until it is big enough to fill the 2.5ft X 4.8ft space and then flower it. I imagine this might get a little crazy when it's time to remove it from the veg room and try getting it upstairs and into the cab. A video doing it would be funny as, if only we lived in a legal growing country.

The top that was removed was put straight into a rootit sponge and rooting gel applied. A plastic bag over the pot and clone for a few days and see how it goes.

Well that's it for today photos below as usual.

Have a good weekend to all.

Little update on the little ones.

All seem to be happy in the Biobizz Light Mix they are being given a little water with some Canna Rhizotonic as and when the pots are about 90% dry. The roots on all the plants have appeared at the drain holes in the pots and seem nice and healthy.

So that's it for now.

Res and pipe clean out today, Res emptied then scrubed out same with pipes and rhizo trays. Res full of clean water and a strong dose of h202 this will run for a few hours then be emptied out. Res refilled with tap water and UV switches on and will run the duration of lights off, about an hour before lights on I will be adding Ionic Bloom Hydro to get EC1.3 so both plants in the system will now be on bloom nutrients till chop time.

I will try get time this evening and get some photos taken and posted.

So that's it for now.
