Welcome To My Mind

Hey everyone, thanks for stoppin by. I'm just starting this thread to post up some of my older sketches. I have a bunch I'm working on now that are almost finished so I'll be able to post those soon too, but anyways lets get to it.

These are from back when I was in high school 5-6 years ago.

The last one was one of my first pieces with oil pastel.. you can definitely tell it's a little messy, but I still love it.

And now for a little more recent... Unfortunately this is my only one I have so far.. I've been using a lot more color lately, and I personally hate how time consuming it is for me but it's the way I see it so it's gotta be done. Anyways this was an idea that came to me this past summer...

My favorite medium is pen and ink, but I like to float around to what I know will most accurately fit what I see in my head.

I hope you guys enjoyed. More to come soon when I can get em done!

Dr. Trichome, why yes I prefer to only draw high. I feel I'm able to let loose the most :)

Bushy bush Thanks for the compliments man, those water drops were a lot of fun to draw!

Well I've been pretty busy these past few weeks... got a lot of pieces in the works, but I did finish one for you guys! Here it is, hope you like it..

In regards to my latest post/sketch. Do you guys ever get an idea that's just stuck in your head and you can't get it out? Cause essentially that's what has happened except it's turning into a culmination of multiple ideas and I must say it's getting quite overwhelming. Sometimes I wish I had the ability to draw with both hands at the same time, much like the robot from iRobot (Sunny), it would be a might convenient trait to have... Essentially what's going on here is I'm high and want to keep sketching, but I can't get in that "mood" I'm too restless and scatter brained. Any suggestions? I listen to pretty chill shit when I draw. Nightmares on Wax, Brightblack Morning Light, Little Dragon tends to be more like background elevator music than anything but it lets me focus on what I need to. I also toss Infected Mushroom in there when I need something with more instrumental/ less vocal. Also has anyone worked with those Prismacolor markers? They're new to me and I'm curious about some blending stuffs that I know is possible with their pencils (obviously I realize pencils and markers work differently) I'm just really paranoid about going any further into the final stages because I REALLY don't want to ahve to start over on this because I colored something wrong..

Haha Tip Top.. "The uploader has not made that video available in your country".. I didn't even know that was possible. Damn you tube. Dali is my favorite artist so it's not surprising to hear so many people picking up his influences in my art. "funky" skulls and joints.. I tried playing around with one time but it's really just not me. This last piece is about as close to a skull as I'll get...a face haha.
Thanks for the comments everyone.

One love

I love this one the best. Great work man keep it up! It makes me think of "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" at first and then it makes me feel of longing for something that is in the distance and think of loss of life or death.

Thanks for stoppin by buddy! I always enjoy hearing peoples interpretation of my pieces.. The last feeling you had was a little closer to what I was trying to convey I'd say, although I really enjoyed the first one! I hadn't thought of that yet! I drew it over the course of a few very stoned nights.. I think the idea originally came from a bad case of cotton mouth ;)

SO.... I was thinking about "Pot Gods" just now... and I was curious how you guys may invision such (a) god(s)? I immediately pictured a being looking down from clouds, and that is how I would want to portray a god of pot. But either way. Would their be multiple gods? If so how would it work in the case of it's own mythology? I'm really stoned so this may not make sense, but either way I have a new idea and I'm looking for some narrowing of it who knows... maybe a new piece comin on while I finish these others?

And let the discussion begin :D

That's a lot of gods... and pretty specific. hahaha what about Sativa, Indica, Ruderalis? A little more generalized... and then Minor gods could be... the Hybrids? I know the feeling my friend! I'm also glad you commented, I kinda aimed this at you (and a few others).
