Weedoozie's Nor Cal Greenhouse (ADVICE WELCOME)

No distinct changes in plants except the GDP's are sexed and starting to show pistils in numerous preflower areas=good sign flowering will continue through October and partially November if I can fight the frost

I adjusted the netting around G.G's clone to make a sort of netting door to the greenhouse. I was getting sick of all the bugs flying in...

It's quite windy today where I am and my greenhouse is swaying wildly. I had reinforced it down with tarp clips, rope, rocks, cement blocks, and staples so hopefully it won't fly away...this has unfortunately caused my greenhouse to be too taut for closing/zipping its greenhouse door. I usually keep it open as I like the air flow it creates. I'm thinking this will pose a problem later in flowering though as bugs and other problems may get to my plants. I'm thinking perhaps getting more mosquito netting to cover the plants or something similar...? I don't know what the future holds for this greenhouse operation but I'm hoping for the best and doing what I can in the meantime :)

I realized last night that there may be too much ambient light coming from the main road at night that could negatively affect my plants:wall::dunce:. I've decided to go to Jo-ann Fabic's and buy some thicker, darker material to hang over the inside of the greenhouse that is facing the road at night to be removed in the morning. This could be a pain in my ass but I would like to do anything in my power to prevent herms, especially because I got one last time that didn't help my 1st grow. I wonder if there is an easier way to do this...?

Anyhow, plants are flowering still and looking fine, no sign of any pests on any of them (hell yes) and they're looking healthy. No sign of balls or bananas...yet

The Big Blue clone is growing a little in the tomatoes planter pot...total accident

The GDP's are looking great despite being tiny, I'm hoping they'll still turn out nice

Alrighty WD, lurked around yesterday to see what other's might of said to your post on the 28th. Using screening around the plants could work. To hit two bird's with one stone though, I would cut/trim a piece of window screening that is the length of your door. You'll need two other things though, get yourself some velcro (double the amount you'd think you'd need...just to be safe) and a piece of black tarp the size of the door.

I know that this probably necessary, but if you aren't quite sure....hit me up, I'll help you out.

Rock on Weedoozie,

That's actually a great idea, thank you so much BW!
Unfortunately, I have to go to work at noon but tomorrow I think I'll hit up some places to try and get some screen material and velcro
As for blacking out during night time, the ambient light comes from one of the 12 foot long sides of the greenhouse walls, I think I'd have to get a large piece of tarp or fabric for that region...
Thank again!

wassup weedoozie? i just finished a gdp grow myself. from everything ive gatherd GDP is a clone only strain so unless someone did some cross breeding for seeds you should have all female GDP. you should transplant them into atleast 3 gallon pots and when you do the transplant water them with a little bit of super thrive and they will love you for it. subbed in.

Hey bigcheese, thanks for stoppin in :)
I don't know if I'm going to transplant the GDP again as they're beginning to flower and I don't want to stress them out. I will definitely be doing LST and I've already done some supercropping on them. As for nutrients, I have the Earth Juice line and a bottle of Phosphoload a friend of mine gave me as he could no longer grow plants. I'm on a tight budget as of recently because of a stupid speeding ticket I got and had to pay over $2,000 for. Currently broke :(

I'm saving as much as I can and should have some $$ in a month or so. That would be around their 5-6 week of flowering. Would that be too late for super thrive? Do I even need super thrive considering all the nutrients I already have in my possession? (EJ Grow, Bloom, Catalyst, MicroBlast, and Hi-brix as well as Phosphload) Any information any one has is greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!

yes it would be too late but heres the catch. you can get a tiny bottle at OSH orchard supply hardware for 5 bucks or the next size for 10. you dont need much . it works great for transplanting. it acts like a sedative for the plants during transplant. if you do it soon it would be well worth it for you plants health.

Oh snap, I'll look into that!
I got school and then work tomorrow though...fuuuuuuck I may not have time to do all I wanted to do tomorrow for my plants...including getting window screen and velcro to make a better greenhouse door, dark fabric or tarp to solve ambient light issues, and now OSH...
I get out of school at 1pm, I have to be at work by 4-8pm. Do I have time for all this? I guess I'll just let you all know tomorrow...

haha its not much more of a problem seein you can get all that stuff there. is the ambient light that bright?
Unfortunately, the ambient light is bright enough at some points throughout the night that I can see my hand when held at arms length which I've read is too bright. My greenhouse is situated on a deck facing a main road in my town, the main road has dim lights but cars drive past and their lights bounce off my house so they bounce off the greenhouse as well. I'm worried this will be an issue so I have to take care of it soon

Oh man if I draw any more attention to my deck than I already have with my greenhouse there, my neighborhood nosies are gonna start pokin' their heads around...

Despite the fact that I already spoke to the police in my town to make sure everything was in order before I started (didn't want them freaking out/ruining my harvest), I think the tarp or dark fabric hung on the inside of the greenhouse is a better and more inconspicuous option...

thats koo. i know privacy is key
Yup, my biggest concern is thieves because my deck has stairs that are not blocked off by anything, someone could easily walk up my hillside from the main road and walk up the stairs to the deck in order to peek around the corner of my greenhouse and see my medicine growing...getting me a little worried. That's also partially why I wanted the police of my town to know I'm growing, they have nothing better to do in such a safe town then to stop any suspicious activities. Hopefully, any plant-jackers/trespassers count in their book.
