Weed for anxiety.

You'll notice that a high really has two distinct parts: the onset and what I like to call the slide. (The part where you just ride the high to the come down.)

Does this sound familiar?
I believe you man. I do feel that and I have noticed the onset can be where the mood can be worst. I've been experimenting with the dose lately and when I lowered the thc and increased the cbd I liked the results so far. I prefer caps, but they takes a long time to react so it's hard to have a little and then just have some more and control it plus that takes all day. But an advantage of taking it orally is controlling dosage. I'm thinking of trying taking cbd, waiting the usual 3 hrs for it to kick in full, and then take a thc hit and see what the mood effects are. Because things may work differently when you intake through your digestive tract such as slower release and lasting longer.

Yea, you really need to grow your own to be able to judge the trichomes and ripeness that you prefer. Leafly would be a good starting point. They rate strains by differing effects.. Anything I've ever had from a dispensary has made me anxious. Eating a well decarbed oil or butter seems to be best.. Bubba 76 grew like crap, but I loved the smell, flavor and mellow 70's buzz...

I think that today's weed is just way too strong. Have to find old school strains with lower THC so that you can monitor your intake. I recently saw a strain named Industrial. Sounds like it'd be right up my alley. You could roll a nice fat joint, enjoy the smoke and still function.
I get anxious off early cut commercial pot.

Thc by itself can be uncomfortable. The cannabinoids that counter those feelings and smooth the buzz out develope late flower.

I agree growing and judging for perfect ripeness will give the best results.

Also. A half or whole Benadryl before smoking helps also.
