Water in the Attic

How are you guys getting your water upstairs?

I have two 50 gallon reservoirs and carrying 100 gallons of water up a flight of stairs isn't conducive to happy growing. So I'm wondering what you attic growers are doing?

The guy at the hydro shop told me to get one of these:

He told me to attach it under my kitchen sink and I can run the line as needed.

Theoretically, I'd like to hook that up to an RO filter as well.

you could probably get a garden hose attachment for your kitchen or bathroom faucet and run the garden hose upstairs. you could drain your reservoir into a downstairs sink using a hose and gravity

I agree with running a line like ur link up there u can attach them to sink straight to ur ro filter then fill ur res from there


By reading the review for that kit I wouldn't purchase it.

It's a little work but less than carrying water to the attic

I'm assuming a garden hose should attach to an RO filter either with or without an attachment of some sort, right? If that's the case I think I might do that.
Are there any particular types of garden hose I should avoid that may contaminate or compromise the water quality in any way?
Something tells me I've read something about that somewhere before...

I am sure that a plastic hose might off-gas into a liquid *stored* in it,
but not appreciably into water passing through it. Just my $0.02.

What would be cool would be to attach an inline filter to a water hose.
Then I could run the hose from an upstairs sink to my rez.

I am sure that the rate of flow of these units would be low, but liveable.
