  • I only left it for a couple weeks til I felt like transplanting...but it keeps the plant from actually becoming root bound
They will...it is pretty neat...I had mine in a solo cup, but had run out of soil and I'm lazy..and when I have plants in solo cups I bottom water them...anyway I set the solo cup with the dirt and plant in it on top of another kids cup that was filled up and let the water soak into the soil through the drainage holes in the bottom of the cup...and I had left the solo cup on top of the other cup overnight and most of the following day, and when I remembered to check on them again they had grown roots into the cup with the water...so I changed the water everyday for a few days, and then there were so many roots I didn't have to change the water anymore...I just had to fill the cup back up...
