3 days after illumitex signed for delivery, I got this response from a new illumitex email address asking for additional payments:

I got a reply 5 days later saying they would reverse the credit transaction. And finally, my interaction with this company was over. It took several more days for the refund to come through, but I finally have my investment back. Illumitex has effectively prevented me from growing medicine for nearly two months by supplying me with an unusable product and keeping my money tied up for another month, preventing me from purchasing other equipment.

Bruh I can help you - I use the Neo-Sol DS and it ROCKS! I know all the main people and I will help you, I'm a disabled combat vet and Dennis Riling helped me with no issues.

hey thanks for the response widowmaker, hope the days goin well for you bro. I really appreciate it man, but I already returned my ns fixtures. I'm really glad you're having good results with your neosol ds, the frost on those ladies is amazing man. I was really psyched on their lights and I've read journals and heard a lot of good things from people who use them.
I think they may have made a recent design change to the hanging hardware on the lower end ns fixtures, because what I got looks different than the spec photos or the photo on the outside of the box, or the hardware for their larger higher watt units. From what I saw with my units, I was impressed with the overall build quality and the intelligence of the passive cooling design. It's possible they're having some inconsistency after changing their build order or something like that, assembly line manufacturing can be thrown pretty easily by something minor. But after they failed to acknowledge any potential fault, or back up the product in a meaningful sense, I don't think I can give them another shot so soon. Given the fact that I like their passive cooling design and the diodes they use, I would think definitely consider them in the future, but right now I need something I can buy, local set up and run with quick. thanks again bro

sounds like there was a monkey in the middle. maybe did a switch-o-roo

this happen to a friend of mine, who got a bluelab combo meter: the one he got was a fake: what they do is open the box (warm up the tape a little) take the real unit out drop in a fake Chinese one. the they send the real unit back as unboxed return, pay a little fee, but make money on the return. and bingo, a free $180 bucks.

it might have gone unnoticed, but I had my hanna, there and we were doing testing side by side. when things like: the LCD screen on his was cheap looking not like a real bluelab, they make solid gear. hes PH was ok, but the PPM wouldn't read under 50, or even 500. I was hitting 14 in the RO barrel he showed 0

so, then I asked if he put the AA's in, and he said no: now they don't ship them with battery on contact. and they were sinjun xin lin blah blah type.

so yeah a pretty good fake, the Chinese knock off market are very good at copying stuff, to a higher level then ever.

about your story: I would have called my CC and said fuck this charge, and it would have ended with my CC lawyers dealing with it.

I actually bought and returned direct through illumitex, not a third party. Otherwise I'd share your suspicion. my return was even paid for by illumitex's fed ex bulk shipping account. I was really hoping they'd be able to resolve the situation and figure out how to get me a working product, or I would have gone straight through the card company. plus they're a small american manufacturer, so I wanted to give them every opportunity to make good. rebuilding our manufacturing industry is the only thing that can really help our country remain relevant in the world economy.

I got you - no worries I totally understand. I will call Dennis and see what I can do - you never know. In the meantime, I would look at http://www.bmlhorticulture.com/spydr-1200-grow-max-spectrum/ and it would be the next best thing as I'm about to purchase one tonight.

Let me know if you have any questions. I feel your pain and another reason why I'm reaching out been there done that. respect

yeah thanks again bro, I really appreciate it. much respect back to you man. I'm sure bml is going to do you right, they were my actually my first choice because San Francisco Patient and Resource Center (SPARC dispensary) is using entirely bml and they grow the cleanest most medicinal flowers I've seen for bulk sale. but their 300 watt fixture was a few hundred more than illumitex's. they were very professional in correspondence, and quoted me for a design using their single bar fixtures in different spectrums (close to 4k unfortunately). I was planning to supplement my illumitex tents with one of BML's full spectrum single bars. BML is also adding another new brand, under the name fluence bioengineering I think, and that brand seems to sell their view max spectrum white light fixtures specifically to marijuana growers rather than to the indoor farming industry in general.
your grow looks very impressive, this is about to be my first full scale indoor harvest after about 5 successful years growing meds outdoor. growing in a tent is definitely about to be a different game, I've got 2 3.3'x3.3' tents in my bedroom for a parallel veg and flower set up.
It's been difficult for me to take care of my plants sometimes but doing organics outdoor nature picks up the slack, and I've been worried about the level of input the plants might need from me in an artificial environment. I gotta say it's awesome to see what you've achieved indoor.
again huge respect brother.

I'm digging around
https://www.criminalrecords.com/records/jaclyn-funderburk-in-new-jersey
also they filed as a non-profit company. and been on the BBB since 2015 only.
you might files something on BBB, sometimes they make some offers for you resolve the complaint. you have enough data to file one that's for sure.
haven't checked the link yet, but I gotta say I'm pretty surprised to hear they're registered non-profit, they don't exactly conduct themselves as such. And their excuse for the email asking for payments during the return process was that 'it was just a standard business procedure'.. why would any wire transfers be required within their business to reverse funds from a credit transaction? even if it's standard for them, it's certainly not a normal business practice. And having to shuffle a grand and a half around real quick just to be able to make good on a refund doesn't exactly imply that things are on the up and up.

Thank you for the kind words and I really appreciate the feedback. I put my entire life to the plant survived war, etc - so MaryJane and I gotta stay tight you feel me?! ;-) On the real though - yeah Sparc is dope - I'm all over SF - bout to bring out my medz to the scene - I do custom ICE WAX, ROSIN, TERPENE extraction from the plant - so it's real terps! I can't wait - it's been a long time coming and looking to collab with some artists in the scene.

Our focus is boutique strains with a focus on the most pristine environment that I can engineer. This is R&D for a larger project in the future - goals. I do have a RDWC I built custom made albeit from UnderCurent but I redesigned it for max horsepower!

I can give you a basic recipe to follow and it will make your life EASY - trust. You won't fight yourself so much indoors.....been there done that more than I want to admit, lol - lessons learned. Your main issue indoor - is your medium's EC or lack thereof - so getting Beneficial Microbes established is VITAL and will put you on the path to success. Silica is another VITAL macro {OSA28} it's what I use - alongside SUGAR from Terpinator - you need HIGH BRIX levels for STRONG Plants!

Something to keep in mind - your indoor so you don't have a buffer - like the Outdoors- so you just gotta play defense and then your offense will take care of the rest ;-) One Love Bruh!

I'm doing a special project as we speak - 8 plants going for 24lbs - or 3 a plant. It's scrogged under a custom built screen - 2"x3" squares in a 8'x8' double decker with 1' spacing between levels and 30 inches for height up to the DE bulb ;-), should make for some Phat Kolas!

I'm on IG - BoutiqueBuddz - you can see more of my stuff.

Hey Dennis,
just wanted to thank you for reaching out, I really appreciate it. I'm pretty busy the next few days with family and some appointments, but I'll be sure to give you a call monday, or on tuesday if you have memorial day plans. I really like the look of your product, and looking at your company's social media and advertising I see you do a lot of business at trade shows. if anything all I've taken from this experience is that your business is geared towards supplying commercial facilities, and might not be suited for small scale medical consumers like me. I'm just interested in making sure that medical growers get the equipment and support they need to grow their meds.
Have a great holiday weekend,
TZ

daaamn that is some impressive shit man, some serious next level technique. I've never even heard of terpenoid extraction, that's an amazing concept for utilizing medical cannabis, could really have some unique benefits for patients. I'm blown away. purple rain is a seriously beautiful plant man, the artist must be proud. I'll check your stuff on IG out, it'll probably end with me getting sucked into another forum haha.
I'd really love some advice on setting and maintaining an ideal environment. I'm current plan is to run a window AC in the room and do a kind of basic passive intake. I'm going to get a friend with construction experience to build me a wooden spacer that fits in the window frame to hold the AC and accommodate 10" vent holes. my tent fits 10" vents I'm thinking of running inline fans evacuating hot air from the light reflector and tent, relying on negative pressure to pull in the ambient cool air from the AC on a thermostat. I'm not really sure what tempterature or humidity range is ideal for an indoor grow, but I would think that for flowering , the drier the better, and for cloning and seedlings you would need a degree of humidity.
I'm gonna do organic soil for my first grow because I've got my materials already, but I'll look into the logistics of setting up hydro for the next cycle, it'll definitely make more and more sense as I start selecting mother plants for consistent runs. I've thought the main benefit of hydro would be cloning, and that it could be best option for a mother and clone based grow.
