hello, like the title says!! I would like to build a 400w LED that’s dimmable, preferably 4 separate COBS. What would be best to use and why?

I found it helped to kinda work backwards...what size grow space are you trying to cover?

OK, minimum power density for decent cobs or discrete diodes would be 30w/sq ft. Most power supplies come in 120w increments so a 480w driver would be a good starting point. I run both Vero's and sammy F strips in my grow. The cobs run @75w and will cover a good 18" footprint so you'll need at least 6. More is better when using cobs-think bright point source of light, so using more emitters at lower power gets better uniformity. Light engines like QB's or light strips will be the easiest to fabricate and produce fantastic results. I would post in the led section-you'll get more help.
