As I said before... 30X is the best route... All else is virtually useless.
Unless you're older and your eyes aren't any good. I can't see shit thru a 30X, colorwise.
I've got loupes out the butt, but rarely use Them. I can see real good with the RS scope, object removed from plant and viewed, at 100X, using only the bottom adjusting wheel.

Lilmafia . . . I'm guessin' 95% of those who buy this scope feel like tossing it against the wall initially, but then most figure it out. I know I wanted to kill that f'n scope!
But then I took the common advice on these, which is snipping out the object to be viewed and placing it on something flat, setting and leaving the top wheel (mag level) and tuning using the bottom wheel.

I'm with Fishy on this one. I can't see squat (hardly) with my loupe (30x). I have a magni-visor (3.5x), a 30x loupe and the RS scope. I rely on the scope at 60x to judge color and percentage. I use the 100x setting just because it's like looking at an alien landscape.
My loupe is great for early sexing, and the magni-visor is great for looking for pests. But you can't beat that pocket microscope for judging trichs!!

Could be, could be. But it's more likely due to the fact that your eyes MIGHT be about 25 years younger than mine..........Ya think? :bigjoint:

I disagree. 60X is just too hard to see the overall ratio of cloudy:amber glands... 30X allows you to clearly see the color, and from enough distance to allow a good setup for judging when to harvest.

100X is useless unless you want to see deep in there
Ditto on that,i cant see shit at 60x except a very close veiw which is helpfull but too narrow a band to get the whole picture of ripeness.
