Wanna be the reason my grow works? Help me with my setup. 2000w 10x5x7

I do kinda like that idea of the splitter IF I had some magnetic ballasts around but I've never used a magnetic, can't really knock something tried and true but make mine a solis-tek matrix every time.

I just bought one of their lamps at the grow expo. it's a 4k MH I'm gonna run on the rail with a 3k sunpulse MH(sunpulse actually makes solistek lamps at custom specs).

dunno, I think I paid 90 bux for the last 1kw super hps I got which was 3 months ago, I also bought a matrix at the same time and was kinda like a package deal, I've spent some money at the place and will continue too since they do me right. I see the same lamp for 69 online though.
 
4x8 tent 300$
x2 8" centrifugal fan 200$
x2 8" duct mufflers 200$
8" insulated ducting clamps foil tape 100$
500+ cfm filter with 8" flange 250$
x2 8" hoods 400$
x2 600w ballasts 400$
x2 bulbs 200$
optional: light mover and trolly(might have to build a setup to hold or reinforce the tent somehow) 200$
x2 oscillating fans 100$

personally i would do flood and drain with more plants if its a secret grow if you legal i would stick your plant to use an 8 bucket system. ebb and flow personally or waterfarms. 400$


you might need an AC depends or water chiller on how you run your ducting and what your reses sit on. this could be between 100-2000$ depending on what you want to do
 
well 4 8 plant sites with a bunch of dif strains canoppy hight will b a prob w/o a screen over them. you could do 2x 600 hps in cool tubes as a vert set up. that would solve the canopy prob and also allow you to move plants in or out easy.

you can get better deals online and some hydro shops will match online compettitors, or give discounts if you talk to them about it. i got my last hortilux 600w super hps for $79 from a local shop (they listed it for like 120). it def pays to ask @ about specials, local discounts, price matching...
 
I have decided on Cool Tube 3 x 600w reflectors. I will add a fan to cool the lights. What I need help with now is figuring out the tent set up so that I can cycle the production to harvest monthly. I want to have no more then 20 plants at a time.
 
If you go with the matrix, you dont need timers for the lights, they have them built in. My display will blink the wattage your using, the programmed time and if the bulb is off on the lcd screen. 1000w, 12/12, OFF is how mine looks. I just got another yesterday fedex dropped off but dont have room to run another 1000w so its just a back up now.

If you do get the solistek matrix I suggest buying it online. I bought my 600w solis tek for 179.00 w/cheap wing reflector and plantmax cheapo bulb. I bought my first matrix on ebay for 328.00 and that came w/ both 110 and 220v cords and remote for ballast plus a 1000w suprr hps hortilux bulb (even hydro stores are going into matrix boxes and removing the 220v cord and remote and selling these seperate even though they come from the manufacturers with them included). I bought my second matrix last week on ebay for 248.00 no remote.

My local hydrostore sells the matrix at 330.00 and thats after they strip the remote and the 220v cord out the box and then try to sell it to you for another 25.00.

Point being, shop online if you want to stay in budget.

Thats what I'm thinking. Considering I want to have a harvest evey month, how do I set up the foot print of the tent?

2 lights hung vert a couple ft from the floor (no reflector just tube) filter hung at ceiling, duct spliter from filter to 2x 6" ducts --> cooltubes ---> 2 more ducts down from cooltubes to floor and over to another spliter --> inline fan (on floor near vent hole. run another length of ducting out vent and where ever you want to vent to. 4 -6 plant sights @ each light. i make 2'x4' trellis for each pot so i can tie/tuck them flat facing the light.
for 8 plant sites you could cut 4 clones a month and veg till a spot opens up in the flower room. i use a couple shop lights and start a clone @ evry 9-10 days (also harvest one same day) 8 wksveg is a long time and shop lights make them pretty stretchy lol, but they cover the screen pretty well and the plant pretty much explodes when i put it into the flower room. if i used a better light i wouldnt be able to veg for more than 2-3 wks, so i would be constantly stoping and restarting + my veg room is cheap to run.:shock:
