Tobacco is grown here in the south and even though I grow it I have never heard of a growing license.Where may I ask did you here this?

You have to have a license for these things, so the government can make its money. Well, more money anyways. These aren't the only way they make money.

Not sure man never really looked into the legalities of it. Figured where I'm at nobody would notice a small amount of tobacco growing anyway.
Edit: now that I think about it I have seen seeds for sale on craigslist so I imagine it must be legal here.

You CAN grow your own tobacco as long as you don't get to selling it. Like alcohol, personal consumption is the key.
Tobacco is a big process to grow and harvest and cure. Takes a lot of equipment to cure it correctly, and the plants are h-u-g-e! I gave u on the idea and even have about 20-25 different strains in seed fom. Someday when I have the land, and the drying shed and the curing shed and all the time to do it, I'll do it. Some strains of tobacco are highly hallucinegenitic. Tjos strains are what the Indians smoked back then. Man takes those chemicals out when he processes it and adulterates it with hundreds more chemicals, even some to cause it to go out when lit if it isn't puffed a certain amount of time and the cooler temps trigger the chemical reaction to go out. They are saving us from ourselves so we cannot fall asleep and burn ourselves up. Next thing on the agenda is sterilized MMJ that contains no THC, only CBD's!!!

Tobacco is perfectly legal to grow, home grown tobacco taste quite different due to the absence of chemical treatment but it will satisfy your craving & just like with MJ you can try so many different variety.
