Vitamin C powder as ph down and dechlorinator?

Dammit people quit posting numerous giant ass pointless pictures. Maybe I'd take this forum halfway seriously if they limited that computer crashing behavior related to the suspicious way uploaded photos act.

Do you know how much to use? i need to bring my water down like 2pts maybe more
Depends on the ph and ppm of your water. They have calculators for swimming pools and agri, but apparently not enough people home grow for it to matter. (any smart people out there wanna create some calculators for container gardening applications? Would be invaluable, actually helpful unlike most crap on the internet regarding growing a damn plant in a pot)

Does anyone know how stable citric acid is when dissolved in water? Would it be feasible to make a concentrated solution to add to nutes, even if it was only good for a relatively short time? It seems like that would be easier to dose than the powder.
It reacts with minerals in the water, and the ph rises back up. Only way I know to effectively use Citric acid is to add 1/8th tsp to a gallon then wait til the next day to readjust.

Yes, I use 1/2 tbsp at a time.

It is very difficult for me to say exactly as your tap water etc may have different alkalinity than mine.
Start low. Best way is to try it out!

Good luck

Vitamin c works no doubt, but it's kind of expensive. I switched over to sulfuric acid and never looked back. Cheap and super super concentrated. I get mine from o'Reilly auto parts. 5 gallons for 24 bucks, can't beat that.

Been doing it for ages. My AACT compost teas are incredible since I began using this.

Also, vitamin C directly improves cell division, in turn boosting immunity as the plants are able to manipulate their cells to react to problems quicker.

Logically, Vitamin C powder also usually contains citric bioflavonoids which resemble the odours of limonene (in small amounts), which dis-encourage most pests.

Lastly, powdery mildew fucking hates Vit C + sun warmed milk + Water ( 1 teaspoon : 1 Litre warm full cream Milk : 1 litre warm water ) - wash off with cold water the next day and don't repeat within 5 days. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ONLY GROW SYNTHETICALLY because your plants are weak and will develop anaerobic fungi like a Covid 19 facemask.

If you read this and don't start using this knowledge, I am sorry for your loss.

Thanks for this. I’m new to this and trying to get chloramine out of my tap. What order do you use this if also adding nutes (ff) calmag and silica? Thx
