Vacuum seal but with a twist

Ok, most say not to vacuum seal bud because it crushes the buds. I can see that.

But how about vacuum sealing an open jar (or jar with a perforated cap) full of bud. Won't crush it.

Bad? Good? Indifferent?

Looking for 6-10 months storage (or more)

Ever seen what happens to marshmellows in a jar when the air is removed? They take place of the entire jar. I would think you would have to fill the jar to the top.

man.. just get some thick mail tubes and vacuum seal it in there. Be sure the buds are just a little on the wet side as the cardboard tube will soak up moisture. I have stored buds for a long while this way.
