Automatic Burping - Vacuum Sealed - Burp Lids V2

Hello, I’m the Founder and would like to share the story with you of how it all started.

It might seem unbelievable but I started growing at the young age of 12. I went into Borders bookstore and wasn’t interested in books until I went by the gardening section and noticed something about hydroponics. I thought it was interesting how a plant could be grown in water and just had to figure more out. I continued to read a ton of books that day and eventually joined a grow forum to learn more. What does PH mean? What does PPM mean? All those things were learned and eventually I had to try it out.

I didn’t grow it for the smoke or the money. I grew it to see if I could and because of the science behind it that really interested me. It was going really great at first but then my parent’s basement flooded and thankfully I put the 400w switchable ballast on a chair because it was literally an inch from touching the water. I would have been zapped but I managed to save the plant. It was just a 5 gallon hydroponic bubbler that I would carry up and down the stairs every 2 weeks to change the water out and remix nute’s. What a state of the art setup right? The bucket splashed everywhere and always in my face.

I adjusted the PH perfectly and grew it over 7ft….oops.

The Problem

I got a nice yield but didn’t dry or cure it properly and unfortunately that led to bud rot. This was months of hard work and now it was all for nothing…I learned very quickly that one of the most important things after growing was the drying and curing process.

Over time I kept learning and perfecting my grows but there was still one painful thing that I knew other growers must also feel…. That burping all of these jars is the most painful and time consuming process ever. But it has to be done. At first it’s exciting but then you’re doing it everyday and it becomes a chore.

Why do we have to do it? Many reasons as we all know but most importantly to achieve the proper breakdown of chlorophyll. The jars need to be opened up every few days to release moisture and gasses and replenish oxygen. With the proper cure, this results in a flavorful tasting product. This made sense but unscrewing all those lids everyday didn’t. And it’s what everyone is still doing almost 20 years later!? Fast forward to Burp Lids development.

“Dad can you help me burp these jars?” My dad and I were burping 50 mason jar lids and letting them sit out for 15 minutes everyday, then coming back to cap them all. I hated it, he hated it too but it had to be done everyday for at least two weeks. This was enough for me to create something new and unique for the industry that we all needed.

The Solution

Burp Lids
- A solution for burping an easier way than unscrewing all those lids everyday and putting them back on. A way to vacuum seal after the burping is all done. Besides MMJ, they also work for Fermentation and Food Preservation. Really well actually.

But how can we take it one step further? What if there was a way to burp in that fresh air through a carbon filter, then have the lid do the rest and automatically extract to form a vacuum seal again? What would we we call it?

Burp Lids V2 - BurpVac Technology - Automatic burping while maintaining a vacuum seal for freshness.

P.S. No plastic bag will ever be close to curing in a glass jar. It's for the high volume sales with dispo's...the bag and taggers. The people that don't understand the art of curing. One day curing could be a lost art if we don't innovate with new products and educate fellow growmies. Glass jars are for the trophy buds. V2 is for the smart growers.
