I'm fully capable of defending myself, thanks.

They spit propaganda your entire life to make you think it's honorable to serve, at one point, I did. Then you realize the lines they use - you used - were designed for a reason. I don't need anyone to protect me, I never asked anyone to. I am glad I live in this country and enjoy the rights I do and I'm thankful that the men who lived on the land before me fought and some of them died to gain them, but they had to do it. If they didn't, they wouldn't have known freedom or liberty, and we wouldn't be having this conversation. I would have done the exact same thing. How can soldiers expect gratitude? I mean, I understand why some people would want to thank them, and why people honor them, that's obvious, but for a soldier to ever expect it, that's shameful in my opinion. It's like a professional athlete expecting gratitude.

Think about it - I don't support what you do. I believe that without you having signed on to serve in the military, the military would not be able to operate the way it does. I think your time could be spent much more productively, they just don't package the medics and red cross and humanitarian workers the same as the "soldiers". They know blowing shit up and shooting weapons is exciting, traveling all over the world - albeit while in dangerous warzones - carries a sense of adventure, especially for a young kid right out of high school with limited options on paying for an education...

It's pretty simple right, and I don't think you should take offense to it, I mean, you can't please everyone all the time, right? If you're trying to win "thank you's" and pats on the back, you certainly chose the wrong occupation. Killing innocent people, whether it's on accident or not doesn't accomplish that. Waging wars of aggression doesn't accomplish that. Defending war crimes doesn't accomplish that. You chose your occupation by yourself, for the package that comes along with it and for whatever ideologies you believe you're defending, not for any of my rights - lets be honest, and clear about that.

When a just cause comes along, I'll gladly put my own life on the line for it, and I won't be expecting any thank you's at the end. Surviving it and protecting our culture for future generations will be more than enough.

You honestly have no idea whats going on in this country do you? are you blind? Weather you like it or not spanish is quickly becoming the united states second language.
So go ahead with thinking you and your oh so mighty monolingual english family will come out to be anything more than roofers or landscapers.
I see "johnny".....because thankfully the English language is STILL our FIRST language, I'm an absolute MORON for wanting it to be taught FIRST.......It is my ex who worked in construction, as for my family......I won't brag. Do grow up.

thats where your wrong, i volunteered, like my father, grandfather, and his father before him.

all of my family has joined the military, and my son is now defending your right to call me and others ignorant.
No, you never did ask to be thanked...just an immature ploy to get you riled. I never thought I'd see the day in my lifetime where your typical "American" would be so vile towards any one who has/or is now fighting on behalf of this country.

For those of you who are on the warpath rambling about "killing brown people to ensure rights to talk bad about people".........one word: DISGRACEFUL. The word complacency has been thrown left and right on this thread, and from people who are on the wrong side.
How much more ignorant complacency could possibly be displayed?
Too many "Americans" forgot 911. Too many Americans truly are ignorantly complacent. Those "brown people" you refer to THRIVE on that ignorance. Some of us chose to take a lot of time to study "their culture" in an attempt to grasp why we woke up one morning to witness, right in front of our eyes, airplanes piloted by "actual extremists" who very patiently planned out over 3,000 people's destiny, but that was only what was to serve as the first level of destruction. The downhill effect from there was their true accomplishment, and those of you screaming racist play right into the hatred you claim to loathe....yes, you have become the pawns you accuse others of being.
The only people throwing out the word "complacent" are the very ones who didn't take a second of their time to truly follow what was taking place.

The border of Mexico is a huge ongoing problem for this country, and not solely because there are Mexicans passing it and causing billions annually in expenditures. The enemy is WITHIN and they continue to FREELY flock here in hoards because YOU are complacent. They are patiently planning this country's full and utter destruction....and you are putting yourself out there as NOBLE people for calling the innocent American a RACIST.
Were it possible, I'd pluck every single one of you, brown or not, "cultured" into your subservient views and place you together FAR away from here, where you could not feasibly travel away from ........you deserve one another.
America hasn't seen the last 911. Telling you to awaken to the realities would be futile.
So very sad that what it will take is something much worse than 911 for you to awaken to the true beast.....and it's not the American guy serving in our military.
Bluto, to you and to any other who has bravely served this country, I humbly thank you for your service. May all of those Americans who have died serving this country not have died in vain just so this ignorant and evil display can continue to spiral out of control and downhill to the cesspool wished upon us.....by our own people no doubt. :peace:

preventive maintenance?-

common sense would indicate that to preserve a desired condition, certain, and most often, dirty work will need to be done. laying underneath the mower scraping, and hosing the grass off will most likely result in dirt in the eye, and some won't and don't do it, but it will certainly preserve your mower.

killing is dirty business, and some won't or don't, but if you wait until the criminal is already broke in the door before loading the gun, you're screwed. this is exactly what we as americans have done on many fronts. all of us (maybe) have the dream/prayer of a peaceful world, but try telling that to the playground bully, if it even comes out of your mouth you've gotten further than most.

all this bullshit is is playground games, the same shit we learned then is most likely how we'll react now, only the stakes are much higher?

and i'm sure this will stir the pot.
traditionally through history, europeans have been a VERY domineering race of humans, not much has escaped their reach when so inclined, this is happening still, but mostly only the big dogs are playing because life is easy, and why turn the man's gaze towards us. i'm wondering if lawful society ends in the form of the man having his hands to full to deal with us on an individual basis, what the european race would do. if history serves as foresight i doubt it would be good.
