Undercurrent build to grow Monsters!!!

This is my 3rd UC build. My first is a 4 site with 5 gallon buckets and 15 gallon epicenter with 1 1/2 spa tubing and 3/4" return to a 584 gph pump.
Second was a veg box in a 50 gallon storage box with 3 one gallon containers and a 3 gallon epicenter.
Will post more picks soon.

This build is 14 X 15 gallon containers and a 50 gallon epicenter. 2" abs tubing and a 1" return. I a still trying to resource the right in line water pump. I think I need close to 2000gph.

Also sourcing parts for 8 X 300 watts cob lights with 200 mm cooling fans.

what is the total gallons in your system

air pump for something that large u are looking com grade .........personally i like 1 gallon of air a min per plant

as for stones that is easy Micro pore stones

Wow those look bad ass! Very expensive per site though. Will definitely buy 1 for the 50 gallon res. Each site will have 10-11 gallons so 140-154 gallons total and the epicenter will have about 30 - 35 gallons in it

I have been considering

a Danner 12000+ GPH pump

or a Ecoplus 1584+ GPH pump.

Air pumps I am looking at 2 x Danner AP-100.

Lighting will be a DIY cob less
4 cobs per heatsink

I will have 8 diy lights that consist of:
cob, heat sink, with 220 mm fans.
They should be around 280-300 watts each. So close to 2400 watts total.

So I hooked the system up to my 600 gph pump for my tent. Here are a few pics of it running. I might just go with a 1200 - 1500 GPH pump. The 600 is quite impressive!

I'd recommend 9" spider Air Injection Technology over air stones. A little more expensive upfront but they provide more air, evenly distributed, and last much longer. I just recently started using them and they blow air stones away.

with that much vertical lift in the pipe, that pump must be pretty strong....

As I understand it, the 'science' behind UC is the benefit derived by the continuous flow of water/nutes through the totes, creating a quasi-fast flowing river energy effect. Am I right?

If so, I'm guessing you could have either too much, or, too little flow

IMHO that's the 'thing' that needs to be dialed in

Of course it changes on how long it takes for one complete cycle PLUS how many cycles per hour is ideal to maintain the energy (for which there is probably no instrument to measure), at least within non government budgets

Also consider placing a pile of polished ornamental stones (Dollar store) in each tote to break up the flow (increasing the chi/energy), as rocks would in a fast flowing river. I would also do this with the return T to rez

Yes. This is what I was talking about. They would be extremely easy to make yourself. If I need anymore I plan to make them myself.

I love the set up. How much did you get your 2" bulkheads for? I used Uniseals and they were a pain.

homedepot and lowes. They are 2" shower drains. They work great haven't leaked at all!
I used uniseals in my tent for (4) 5 gallon buckets and an 15 gallon res out of the tent. I used 1-1/2" spa tubing. It was a lot easier to use with uniseals. The 2 " abs works great with the shower drains though.
