Under Sanders, income and jobs would soar, economist says

I think the larger issue of the argument "just go to school and get an education if you want higher wages" to oppose raising the minimum wage remains valid because you will see the same people pushing that view standing in opposition to nationalized higher education. So in effect, "get an education" isn't a valid solution to the problem of stagnating wages for those that can't.
Pada you have no argument from me about minimum wage increase. Im in for 10-12 as a minimum wage. I do that now. BUT you should also be making attempts to better yourself. Don't get complacent.

Here's your average Sanders opponent;

Exact same criticisms (more incoherent nationalistic ramblings, but you get the idea..)

"They just want FREE stuff!!!!!!!!!"

...

No Alex, we want the money we provide in taxes to go towards programs that are proven to actually help the American people, like national health care, education, science and medicine, etc. Instead of no-bid contracts for defense contractors, corporate welfare and the prison industrial complex.

Holy shit, what a radical fucking proposal!

You brought up a good point, of course you should control what your money is spent on!

If you want the money you provide to go towards the things you support, wouldn't it be a lot easier and more ethical to not have to send it to people who claim they can do magic with it, but never do ?

Why not band with your friends on a voluntary basis and do the things that make sense to you and leave other people out of it? What is stopping you from acting like you own yourself?

I refuse to believe that. Walmart does need to increase their pay, but most people working at Walmart have a high school diploma at best.
No excuse to condemn them to slave wages, is it?! Hell fella, this is your own customer base you're throwing under the bus! Wake UP, man!

I think what you are trying to quote is a fallacious idea, "the social contract".

In your "common society" do some people have more rights than others ?

it's not fallacious, it's a fact. we need clean water, good roads, schools etc. that means everyone chips in for them. why can't you grasp that fact?

no, no one has more rights than others. society would be a lot more equitable.

it's way past time to admit the current system is grossly unfair and most of all, it's not working

No I brought up the lie of a coercion based government being necessary.

Your indoctrination prevented you from seeing that a new shiny turd with corn in it named Bernie, is still after all just a turd.
You reason that because there is corn it, that makes it the least turd-like turd and that there is some value to it. I reason a turd is a turd, sir.

If you don't think you have more rights than me, and I have no more rights than you, shouldn't any actions we take or ask others to take on our behalf be based in the consent of the individuals affected?
