Unanswered hermie question.

If your plant hermies from a light leak and you corrected the problem and pulled off any inter sexing, will the hermie traits subside? If not how much worse is this going to get? all in all there were about 8 sacs unopened pulled off of the lower growth on about a 4 oz plant.
im almost 4 weeks into flower.
With the light leak corrected will the hermie traits be slowed?
as far as i can see it was only lower growth that had sacs and the light leak was originating from the lower area of my tent.
Also i have others that are not affected, what are the chances they wont be?

i doubt the light leaked helped, but if you had some plants unaffected, and another that wasn't, then chances were it wasn't the light leak, it was genetics
the hermie will probably keep doing its thing, but this trait seems to be unpredictable

If u pull off all of the naners, they shouldnt continue to produce hermie parts... But still be vigilent... Alot of times it is genetics, rather than a light poisening... I just about always end up with one or two of my equitorial sats hermieing on me, no matter what I do... I keep trying to stabilize the strains, but whatever... I wont trip over a couple of seeds in what is otherwise dank ass medicine... It would be nice to get ahold of some more stable genetics though... Mabye one day...

in all 3 plants were afected out of 9 and all three were in different parts of my tent.
One is a fem purple wreck from reserva.
the other was a freebie strawberry blue fem world of seeds
and last was a tga agent orange the only one i decided i want to try and work with since i know its regular seed and the only part that seemed affected was the lower growth (which i was going to go in and remove this week anyhow to concentrate energy for the colas above).
So i guess my question is can only a section or say a branch of the overall plant be affected and not the rest?
Will correcting the issue (light leak) slow it down? or is it just going to keep throwing sacs till the end even though the light leaks are gone?
Lastly are my other 6 going to show herms now too or is it possible they'll be spared?

I had a light leak 20 minutes after dark time for about 10 seconds ... it produced about 4-5 male sacs that polinated 1/3 of a plant. since then 3 weeks ago, no other sign of male ballz .
stay safe, grow big

it's tough to say what exactly will happen
i don't know if single branches can be hermie and not others on the same plant, i suspect it's the whole plant
some of your unaffected plants will probably stay fine, some just don't have much of a hermie trait, some can be abused all to hell and not show one male flower

How far along in flower were you then and are you now?
And i take it you caught the sacs once they opened already?
Was it your only plant?

Ive heard more hermie stories from fem'd seeds... I would always recommend going with regular seed stock, which is less likely to carry on hermie traits...

Heres the real kicker my plants have been getting very miniscule light through my damn tent vents which are suppose to block light (not 100% obviously) these 9 plants have been getting these light leaks for hours of their nightly schedule for the first 3-4 weeks of flower.
