Unannounced Contraband Inspection WTF?!

a quote from the terms of my lease

"Contraband inspection utilizing contraband detection canines will be conducted on an unannounced basis"

Does that sound like an apartment or a f&$kin' prison? I was so excited to start growing my own pot (like 2 or 3 plants tops) and now I'm debating wether or not to do it. I have no experience with police dogs, do you guys think one could smell a couple plants, that are vented out a window + carbon filter and behind two doors from the hallway of an apartment building?

Fucking cops, do they seriously have nothing better to do than search college kid's rooms for pot...
 
that's why you get a apartment off campus!
of course they could smell a couple of plants, especially if the dogs are in the same room as where your growing!

That sound like a serious infringment on your rights bro unless you live in a dorm apartment or something. I would be talking to a lawyer about that one that kind of shit pisses me off.:twisted:
 
Ha ha, yea it's a dorm, but you'd think they'd still give you the same rights as everyone else. (although i think i sign them away in the lease agreement) But i guess i'll just have to suck it up and wait a few more months. Unless its just a scare tactic, cause from my experience the majority of people my age have at least an 1/8 stash. So the dog would be barking at every door.

I think i'll wait till i get a better feel for the situation though...

Those dogs can smell your car seat and then find you hiding in the woods. They can smell the weed 1/2 mile a way.

Soon they will put a dog on the back of a pick-up and drive around and wait for the dog to alert.
 
Yeah, I think i've decided to play it safe and hone my hydro skills by growing some kick ass peppers. I'll save the pot till i get a better location.

This part of the post is untrue. They cannot smell weed a half mile away. They also won't drive around in a pick-up with the dog in back. You're going to make this poor kid paranoid! LOL.

lol, well I'm glad to hear that the dogs aren't that sensitive. It's not that i'm amazingly worried about getting busted (I think they would just confiscate my plants, lights, etc) what I'm most worried about is getting evicted, cause then I would be homeless and out like 5 grand, cause the college would forfeit my rent. (it's all in the lease terms). I guess i'll just have to purchase my pot again this year... :cry: but at least i'll save 20 bucks on buying tomatoes... lol...
 
If you live in College's property they can do whatever the fuck they want you to do, If it is just YOU'RE DORM then there could have been a drug problem recently which is why they are checking.
 
those dogs can sell drugs in a metal container rom 100 hundred yards away. it's not worth it, you don't wanna set yourself up and fuck it all up.
 
yeah, I'm defiantly gonna just get some practice on legal plants, and wait for the pot.

I'm thinking that they're just trying to scare people from growing pot or something, in they're rooms. Cause there's hundreds of rooms, and I'm sure quite a few of those rooms have some sort of illegal drugs in them. It would be such a waste of time for the cops...

But, alas I still cant risk it... I guess...

Also. I was told by an old man that you can graft weed with hops (beer plant). Apparently it produces THC, and smells like weed, but it is not Marijuana.

Fight the man, fuck them.
 
Ha ha... No I'm in Canada (fortunately/unfortunately) but it seems to me that the American Government has little regard for the constitution when it doesn't suite their needs. (I could be wrong though)... lol I would try the grafting idea, but I'm far from a plant expert and something tells me they wouldn't care if it's technically not marijuana... lol...
