so i was going to wire up some pc fans for my new tent so i went hunting around my house for adapters. the ac adapter on my 10'' o2 cool fan says its 12 volts and the highest amp number i can find is .7 (there were 2 numbers for amps but one was for input and one was for output. the .7 was the output). this led me to conclude that this fan uses less than 9 watts, which shocked me. it's a 10 inch fan that moves a great deal of air so 9 watts seems very off. it also has 2 speeds, so i don't know if this measurement is for the high or low setting. i would love nothing more than to use this fan for my intake instead of wiring a pc fan but i am quite skeptical of my figures. is there something special i should look for on the adapter that would help me figure out the difference in watts in the 2 settings, or at least know for certain what the maximum watts are? are table fans usually this low watt? it also optionally runs on 8 D batteries if that makes a difference. i'm thinking it does...
