Here's my Grow Journal for the first crop in my new DIY A Medicinal Refridgerator
(that's my construction journal) for the unit. All questions about how I did it there please. Let me get the photos together for this before comments and suggestions please. I'll post an Obvious Comment Now. I'd appreciate it as the two plants going in here are done Vegging and going straight to 12/12. I have to go through a bunch of pics to get the vegging clear. I have a grow journal for my main garden. It's Well here goes

There is a bunch of stuff about the DIY stuff I've made, and how it's going in there. These two plants have four sisters a week into flowering. I meant for all 6 in that flowering chamber, but four is all it can hold. I meant for another two other plants to veg in here for 2 or 3 weeks.
Quick summary: It's a 150W HPS in a DIY Cool Tube. The timer and ballast are in a remote Box with it's own fan to keep it's heat out of the equation. It has 1 fan to exhaust the chamber and passive intake. It has a photocell and a big Red LED and a small Green LED to signal if it's day or night in there. I has a green CFL to check it during it's "night" It has 2 temperature sensors 1 high and 1 with a Velcro pad to keep it at the plant's tops.
It's for the garage so I'll have it's morning at 10pm. The other garden comes on at 10am. So it's always daylight for some plants here. I want the ambient temps to cool into the night instead of starting at am then fighting the afternoon.

Not really man the temps should be between 65-80 depending on your personal preference. If you are growing purp strains you want the temps around 65-70 so you get the purple buds :D

It's Royal Kush, so some purps would be great. It's cold and rainy so the ambient's threw it lower. The min. was 58.1 since midnight (which is now at 7pm) so I'm not worried. I'll adjust the fan timers tonight after lights come on. I had everything set for a warmer night.

but he said at the beginning that they had a full 12 of 150watt hps, then stated max temp of 71, so i assumed, either eay not bad temps for day or night in a garage...

Understandable bud no worries I wasn't making a mark towards ya :D
Yea, cool,cool.:blsmoke: Knew it wasn't a mark.
I set the Cool Tube for 9:45 on till 10am. The Main Exhaust is on at 10:15 for 30on 15 off till after 10am. I want the temps between 60 to 75, but a 80max is OK. The temp was 59 to start tonight. I swear after one 12hr dark period I can see them starting to turn.

Fucking MT weather. The temps from midnight was Max. 64.9 Min. Min. 61.1. It's cold and rainy. All my temp experiments were for a higher ambient garage temps as spring was here and it was only suppose to get hotter. After over 30yrs. in MT I should have expected this. On well. I reset the Cool Tube for 30on/15off. So we'll see.

Yeah, damn weather sucks. I am going thru the same thing here in carolina. I am going to buy one of those many coolers though that are powered and hold a six pack inside my cab with the lid open. Should help keep it cool.

A way to keep it cool (but be warned it raises the RH rather quickly) is to freeze milk jugs and 2 liters and place them in your tent or grow room near a fan. The temps drop quickly but the RH raises the hotter it is in there.

If I have heat problems this summer I was going to do frozen jugs outside the fridge and an active intake fan. Couple milk jugs frozen and 1'-2' away should help. I can hold 10 over ambient easily so if nights are over 75-80 I'll find out.

you know a thought I had for the garage is the floor. cement slabs are almost always cool to the touch in a garage, or the shade at least. i was thinking of hovering my intake as close to the floor as possible without restricting airflow. this way all the air coming in would run right down on top of the cool floor surface, kinda like the wind blowing off a lake or body of water, it is always cooler than the wind without the water.

OK Guys, Temp at 10pm was 63.3 Max 72.7 Min 66.6 (it re-sets at midnight) so that'll work fine.

That's why my Intake is about 1"-2" above the floor. I had thought about that.
