Depends where you are, google for "root it sponges 24".
Ro booster pump, wall adapter and cycle timer $40 (china), 4 nozzles and manifold $25, 6x 24 cell inserts $40.
That will leave you about $400 for some hdpe sheet and angle etc, the Elite TK 144 is $505. You wont have the pc fan gimmick but with135psi mist you dont need one. Set the timer for 2 seconds on and 10 minutes off and run it drain to waste. It will use about 2L (0.5 gal) of water a day. A modern toilet uses about 6L (1.6 gal) per flush ;)
Everything more then $ 100 for a cloner is ridiculous.
If it is plug & play... ok. Then it can be worth it to spend more, especially if you want it bigger.
But for a DIY spending around $ 400.00 ?????

The PC-fan gimmick is never needed. Not with misters, not with high pressure, not with low pressure, not with sprayers, not with bubblers, not even with Kratky.
It is just utter nonsense. It has nothing to do with the system, it is biology.

But if it is like this in the picture beneath here.... it sucks. It is flimsy material and will break easily.
Besides that, the sharp edges can easily hurt your roots when you take out your netpot or collars.
For those you don't even have to pay. Most gardencenters are happy if you take them with you.
But they are so flimsy that they will break easily when you put them on a tote.
and where to find a tote that they fit on perfectly?
Way easier to get a bucket or a tote with a top and drill or cut holes.

You said it was $6 yesterday. Now it's hundreds of dollars, and you have to spend your labor to put it together. So it's not really any cheaper, depending on how much you value your time.

No one gives a shit about the fan.

Nothing magical about the parts, here`s the main ones to save you having to go looking. You should find them on ebay but expect to pay a lot more.

I`ll chuck a kilo watt meter on mine to check how much power it uses in a day.. i guess it`ll be considerably less than any of the TK range which have the pump and fan running 24/7

Looking at the standby and misting wattage, it will average less than 2 watts per hour (about 46w/day) running on a 2sec/10 minute timing cycle. Ah, I misunderstood that.
Still, building a cloner can be so cheap.
A timer from target, a mini-pump, some pipe, some sprayers and a tote.
Cloning doesn't have to be high tec.
Always easier to do it with stuff you can buy at Walmart, Target or Home Depot.

About those plant pics?

Stop ignoring the question and say yes or no. If you say no then there's no reason for anyone to believe what you say is credible, because we can't see your quality of work. The proof is in the pudding.

I'm for sure not an expert on the subject of HPA but I have talked extensively with someone who is, and took my design suggestions from them. I have an idea of how things should work.

I'd like to see the results, so I can decide for myself if what you are doing is better, faster, and more efficient.

I post pictures all the time. On here, cp, instagram. I keep journals too, and measurements. On top of logs of all of my environmental readings. I have a good understanding of my growth rates is what I'm getting at.

So if your growth rates, plant health, and yields are better, I want to know, because I don't like wasting money, no one does. Just need that proof.

well you can take it or leave it, growing isnt legal here and i`m not about to jeopodise my gear. i might be tempted if it was just a few 5 gallon buckets fitted with cheap nozzles but it isnt and i`m not. Spend the cash or dont, no one has a gun to your head. Having the right gear for hpa (nft, dwc or any other method) doesnt guarantee success. Pretty much everything i plant in soil dies but it doesnt mean soil growing is no good. If you cant get hpa to work for you, find a method that does..

So no real advice at all.

Share something, like how quickly your plants can fill a space for a given period of time.

Obviously having the right equipment doesn't automatically guarantee success.

I have the real equipment, I built it. I don't have to do anything in secret because what I am doing is totally legal. I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't.

I'm here to completely share what I'm doing without secreting the really important parts away. I post my source code, everything for anyone to use.

You know I just want to make sure that you know what you're talking about by verifying that you do in fact grow healthy fucking plants. That's all.

Most folks know how fast plants can fill a space has little to do with the method. If you consider a 5 gal bucket with cheap nozzles the right equipment and are happy with the results you should stick to that..

Your entitled to your opinion but as long as i know thats all that counts. I`m more than happy with the performance i get from from hpa and aa. If i wasnt i could always downgrade to 5 gal buckets and cheap nozzles.

Hang on guys, my root chambers need to be huge to grow good plants with HPA cause atomizer says so, but won't post any pics.

The only other person that used huge root chambers WITH pictures hasn't posted in a long time and their plants looked like shit the entire time they were growing.

So I have a few questions.. I've heard of people using aloe vera powder in their aeroponic cloners, and looking at the pics the roots are way out of control (I have no idea how long they actually were in there for though).

Does anyone here have experience adding aloe vera powder to the water for their aeroponic cloner? I've got a cheap aero-cloner, and it works great.. best $40 I have ever spent on cultivating. Now I can take cuts, set it and forget it. 10 to 14 days later I've got roots and clones that are ready to transplant. But the roots are not all over the place, like they've been in there 21 days+ or so. They are typically a few inches long and 4-8 roots total, with at least one acting like a taproot on a mission and hanging nice and long. So I'm just trying to up my game there a little, if possible.

Also, what do you all do for transplanting the clones into soil that helps them not get any shock? I always have success with nothing but tossing them straight into soil anyhow, but I like to dip the roots in mycos and them place them into soil. Seems to help with shock a lot, but maybe you all have a better method.. or one that shows no shock every time? The only time I see any transplant shock is from aero-clones, that have bare roots going into soil. Any other transplanting, and plants take off immediately with no shock, so I'm just wondering about aero to soil. Thanks in advance!

I have an off-topic question: Why do you consider switching to HPA?
The system might have some benefits, but it is also very technical with lots of things that can go wrong, break down, etc.
It does not give you a bigger yield, you don't grow more bud, it is not faster then other systems.
The only thing is that you save water.
I don't know where you live but as long as it is not in the dessert or Israel (where they use this system a lot) water is not that expensive.
