i've found a lot of products online, but i'm unsure as to what is safe and what isn't, can anyone point me in the right direction for food grade IPA from amazon or ebay? or an even better place, would be muchly appreciated.

ISOPROPYL alcohol will not be labeled food safe or for grade because it’s denatured alcohol, you will go blind or die if you drink it .
Get 99% and just made sure you remove it all before you use your oil.

As noted, Isopropyl alcohol doesn't come in food grade. Attached are the FDA standards which limit residual ISO to 5000 ppm, as well as the NIOSH workplace exposure standards.
