The ashcatcher had a case of "wtf". :) Your slide/dome look similar, but yours have been in a box WELL on their way to you by now!! :) Yours got more decorations on them, too. :)

I've just spent a good many hours reading this entire thread and I've got to say: Wow, good job man, in almost 2 years exactly you've made unbelievable progress! I've been thinking about how cool it would be to get into glass blowing lately, but I have no money for a setup or lessons of any sort, but this thread definitely inspires me to start saving at least for the basic lessons to see if I really want to do it, but you make me pretty sure it's something I want to do! I just recently made my account here on RIU though I've been lurking and reading for years. I'm glad I found this thread now and I really look forward to seeing how much more you grow, and getting something from you in the future; I LOVE your dishes, and anything with the Slyme! What's the pricing on something like the dish at 1:20 on this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z13NDleOls4&feature=player_embedded#!

Keep up the great work man!

Thanks much!

The dish at 1:20 in the YouTube video is sold. The dish at 1:50, is still available. Its the same dish but with a fluted dabber rest so it rests at any position, not just in two slots like most of em'. Yours for $50 shipped. It sounds like a lot, but that style dish takes me about 2 hours to make and they sell locally for $125. If you want the *exact* dish at 1:20, its the same price, but will take two weeks to make as I'm out of the "Slyme" color green to make more, and wont have more until then. If your interested, shoot me a PM!

Thanks everyone

If you are seriously interested in blowing glass I would start looking up local flameworkers and offer to volunteer your time to them in trade for torch time. Its how I got started and has been working out awesome.

Agreed! Your glass is already functional. Most people struggle with making a simple spoon! I sure did, took me months. Having someone to watch in real life is the way to quicklevel!

It's no surprise to me that, that particular dish sold, I think I like it better than the flaring. And are you serious? $50 shipped seems like a steal!
I'd love to have you make me one and I'll shoot you a PM when I'm ready, which may be shortly if it's going to take 2 weeks anyways, Cheers!

I love the idea, I'm not sure of any places in sonoma county, where I currently run around most of the time. I know of some places in Berkeley, but at this point it'd be hard to find the time to go down there. I'll keep my eyes and ears peeled though, thanks!

Happy Tastings everyone!

No doubt!@ :) No email necessary, there's a private message feature here, but you'll have to be a contributor here a little while longer to use it. Welcome to RIU!
