The people who march in demonstrations carrying Nazi flags and wave the symbols of the KKK in torchlight parades are advocating for the death, disenfranchisement and enslavement of about 40% of our population. To many people, including me, these marchers are not just "having a say". They are celebrating and advocating slavery. Do you think a black or Hispanic person should be required to sit on his hands while people march by calling them and their ancestors animals or worse?

What message do you think a black child receives when the KKK projects its power by marching through the child's neighborhood in a torch light parade shouting obscenities to the people living there? Fucking KKK has burned out black families in the past and those torches are a reminder of the days when that was not unheard of. These people aren't trying to make our society better, they are trying to degrade others in a bid to improve their own shitty lives at the victim's expense. The symbol of the torch in this setting is one of terrorism.

Those fascist marches are not equivalent to Black Lives Matter protests where people are protesting for their rights to live and move about safely in this society.

While our government is constrained by the first amendment to let the protests take place, common citizens are under no such restriction. We have every right to counter protest when hate speech is brought to our community. We have every right to defend ourselves when fascists try to push us aside. We have every right to defend our streets from hate speech. We believe that no black child should be made to fear men carrying torches ever again. The men carrying torches should be made to fear a righteous majority. We did that in Portland last weekend. We'll do that every time people bring hate speech to our streets. This is our right.

To say a minority shouldnt be allowed to protest, may as well mean protesting shouldnt be allowed at all.

Im a firm believer in peaceful protesting, and every group should have the right to peacefully protest.

Unfortunately there are a lot of individuals, and groups that take this right into their own hands and act on their beliefs.

They would use our liberal laws that allow fascists to speak in order to deprive us of it. This is not a hypothetical idea in today's US. We HAVE a fascist in the WH and he IS acting in concert with fascist goons to attack free speech in this country.
