In the news today; FEMA has taken down information about water and electricity from it's website. I guess they don't want to be constantly reminded how badly they're doing...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/10/05/fema-removes-statistics-about-drinking-water-access-and-electricity-in-puerto-rico-from-website/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=nextdraft&utm_term=.e13a80dd9309
LOL

They took it down then put it back up. Still, only 54% of people have drinking water. 10% have power.

This from the article:
Trump, who visited Puerto Rico on Tuesday, has repeatedly noted that the infrastructure of the financially struggling island was already weak before the hurricane hit. In a series of tweets Sept. 25, Trump wrote that Puerto Rico was “already suffering from broken infrastructure & massive debt” and had an “old electrical grid, which was in terrible shape.” During his visit, Trump told reporters that it's difficult to fix the power grid because it “was devastated before the hurricanes even hit,” and that federal workers have been bringing dozens of generators to the island to power hospitals, government buildings, shelters and other key locations.

Broken infrastructure. Where have we heard this before?

Leave it up to Republicans to complain about problems but not get around to doing anything about it. Especially PR.

Your an idiot. Puerto Rico sends "brave" troops just like the mainland when going off to fight in some fukt corner of the planet. They always have. Whether right or wrong in whatever conflict...Puerto Rico chips in thier part of blood. They are as American as you and I.

Puerto Ricans are if anything overrepresented in the ranks of the American armed services. This is less of a surprise when one considers that the average American household income is over $50k and in Puerto Rico it's less than $20k. Joining up is a ticket out of poverty.
