LOL, well then here is what I am thinking, I went back to he basics.
1. Observe some aspect of the universe.
Roots love a 50 micron mist (thanks NASA!), however root chamber design and sprayer placement has been a common variable in everyones experiments.
2. Invent a tentative description, called a hypothesis,that is consistent with what you have observed.
Add a little vertical movement to the mix, then throw in a dash of LST.
3. Use the hypothesis to make predictions.
A taller vertical plant, above the surface and allow larger roots below it.
4. Test those predictions by experiments or further observations and modify the hypothesis in the light of your results.
To follow.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until there are no discrepancies between theory and experiment and/or observation.

Well, going through some personal issues- (relationship drug me through the mud and I am seriously hurting. Found out my girl of 6 years has Borderline personality disorder apparently and I would not wish this hell on my worst enemy, but at least I finally figured out why my life turned upside down). I am also planning on a month long excursion to europe in a week or so, but when I return I plan to go forward with my new AA chamber design... I'll bounce back eventually

Sorry to hear that. Hope you get to feeling better soon- Don't know what BPD is, but it sounds serious. Wishing you well, and have fun in Europe. Good idea to just leave it all behind for a while.

Trichy.. We got our first real recorded data. Our 4X8X1 system pumps/solenoids used 0.02 KWH and 11.04 gallons every 24 hours. That's at 3 seconds on, 4 minutes off. Once I get larger root masses, I believe we can turn down the cycle on time down to 1 second. So I'm thinking roughly 4-5 gallons every day is doable.
I believe we achived our goals. 150-200 gallons a month is pretty damn good for a large commercial drain to waste system!

Hey guys, I am back from Europe- had a blast! Anyway, I plan to get moving on the AA chamber build perhaps as early as this week. Hopefully it will revive the aero threads

Welcome back, you have great timing as I am finally done procrastinating (well, getting situated in a new job does that) and will be dialing in my delivery system. Good to hear! I had so many life distractions on this road myself, I definitely understand. I'm dedicated to the hobby however, and think I will always be thinking about it at least in my head. Looks good, why did you abandon the board concept, was there any major issues, or just preference? BTW, I found the smaller deck bin box proved to fit all my controlls nicely and in my case, protect them from the sun and weather... Dunno why Lowe's gravitated away from the pretty silver scheme to the boring navy blue, but the buckets seem less water repellent now as they are just dark Home Depot buckets instead of the fancy Silvery plastic... I bought up ten of the old silver ones to hoard just incase I needed them for something in the future...

Yeah about the board, I eventually wanted to integrate the root chamber support system ((RCSS)...hey mom, a new acronym!) with the delivery system. I am using strut (which is typically used for electrical applications) and some heavy duty L brackets for a stand and spent hours upon hours making the mish mosh of random parts fit together. I have been creepy obsessed with getting it right the first time, lost sight of the ball. I will post 360 pics if anyone is interested.
Thanks for the heads up on the bucket. My plan is using those leaf bags. If out grown, there are larger ones. If out grown again, than I have a secret weapon.
