Trimmings for hash?

I'm aware of the technique for making hash from the leaf trimmings off the bud but my question is whether or not the larger fan leaves are suitable to mix with these trimmings when sifting?

I've heard you use all the female leaves you can gather.

ALL the leaves... couldnt hurt anything by using all of them... so why not.

I 've seen more than once that the male leaves are worthless.
