Nm I've always heard trich's turn to auburn. Mine never do. They always seem clear at 60 days. I've key plants go longer and still no auburn. What is the trichomes supposed to look like?

Are you checking yours with at least a loupe, or hand-held 30x microscope, or going w/naked eye??

fec any loop off as not needed, take a small bud at say 6weeks then one at 8weeks and let some go even longer and take a bud try them and see which one you like best............ if you feel the bud and leave it a day and you look at it with the loop then you will see amber but its only as you have had your hands on it thats all ;-)

There are plenty of signs that your plane is finished flowering. The old-timers never had fancy loops and such, yet they consistently got it right. It's a lot about knowing your plant. I never go by the breeders suggested flower time. I go off trics and feel.

what would u say mine are are they are only at day 47 flower like
Get up really close to a bud and snap a pix.
Those pix look pretty good but you have to get really close up.
If it's a real camera and not a phone cam you might have a macro setting to take a good close up shot.

i been vaping my clear buds for the last month,

the clear trics are amazing compared to regular amber! im vaping bowls after bowls, and instead of ODing and then passing out like regular weed, the clear stuff keeps you awake and in a dream state haha

I thought it was a better camera and not a phonecam.
It takes time and a steady hand to get some good shots. Remember to turn off any fans. Frigging auto-focus is another pain in the ass.
I have a 40X lobe but rely on my cam shots and the Zoom function of your favorite software to see the trics on my computer screen.
The Windows Pix and Fax viewer does a good job.

Thanks for all that info I have a 20x loop I look through. But since they never turn amber I go off the look of the plant, by liking at the swell of the trichomes, I need to get a camera to share some pics. All those close up shots were cool lookin.

That's a good guide To go off of I think I've been pulling them a little early. Ill have to start waiting for more of the trich's to cloud up. Thanks

went through a similar experience, amber just wouldn't happen
trics just became a clear honey color, drove me nuts
eventually, i did find some others who have seen the same, you never know what a quirky strain might show

Yea I'm dunning agent orange and my # 3 is fully orange at 50 days the trich's are all clear so I'm going to wait. It still hasn't faded very much either. The other 3 phenos aren't showing signs at all as far as the pistils changing. I think it's crazy how different a strain can be from pheno to pheno. It's pretty cool really.
